1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Nice amber colour, with no head. High carbonation, refreshing, not astringent, not hoppy. Sweet malts and some caramel somewhere. Not a Corona nor Tecate, thats for sure.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at Coba temple, Quintanna Roo. Barely discernible from the Pacifico lager I consumed with gusto moments prior to popping the top on this critter. Nothing is more refreshing after climbing a Mayan Temple in the scorching heat of the Yucatan. Again, most Mexican beers taste the same after the third one here....

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Light Brown, Small Head, Minimal Lacing. Wow. Mexico has something else other than Corona style Lager... Sweet malt, Barely noticeable bitterness. Nothing special, but then again, easy to drink . Decent.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
355ml bottle. Very generic dark lager. Nothing really good or really bad sbput this one. Good alternative to cervesa style beers in Mexico if you find it.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
1.2 Litre bottle drank off the coast of Mexico in my Cunard Stateroom on 31 Jan 2013.
I really enjoyed this: it had a good amber body and was clean and clear looking, a thin off-white head sat on top of each pour.
Maltier than I expected and overall a fine (for such a cheap brew) beer. Refreshing and tasty (the malts giving it some flavour and sweetness, the hops giving some bite).

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
This neat label (for a Mexican beer) really drew my attention when it first hit my grocery store’s shelf. And the fact that it’s offered in brown bottles is also alluring (for a Mexican beer). It pours a dark amber color with a short-lived white head and light carbonation. Lacing? None to speak of. The aroma is of every other Mexican lager known to man, but with a slight burn caramel character. It smells thin, light, and... well, of an amber lager.
It’s light-bodied in the mouth, as a lager of this caliber should be, I suppose, but has a slightly malty mouth feel, decorated well with more of that burnt caramel flavor that was in the aroma. It feels a little weird in the mouth, though, and takes a turn for thew worse (pleasantry-wise, that is) the moment that you swallow. The thin, almost spicy, burnt caramel bitterness quickly evacuates from the mouth, leaving a strange sensation under the tongue. The rest of the experience, as the beer finishes, is mostly a slight caramel bitterness - and that’s it. Overall, it seems a little unbalanced, but still better than your average Mexican bear.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a very pretty amber color. Aroma is primarily sweetness and not much else. The first sip is mostly sweet but that fades into wateryness. As it warmed I got a bit of an apple taste as well. But any flavor that does appear tends to disappear as quickly. Better than Corona but just not much other than water going on.
