UPDATED: APR 26, 2012 Best, easy-drinking Marzen/Oktoberfest lager from Mexico. Be warned-- the bottle product is inferior to the draft. Funny how people judge a beer that’s been smuggled into the US in a hot car trunk and expect it to sing and dance. Enjoy the caramel-malt aroma with a satisfying sweet finish. Think Paulaner Oktoberfest lager at about half the weight. If you are looking for an ale experience, don’t waste your time. Check it out in Nogales, Rocky Point, San Luis Rio Colorado, and Mexicali. Best place to find it is a gringo-feel sports bar called Chiltepino’s. In Nogales, Sonora, take a 15-minute cab ride to El Tule for the world’s best Carnitas and Guacamole. !Salud!

Well, i rated this beer counting the other mexican beers in the market, and i can tell you this one its of the best mexican beers... should be exported instead of the piss-flavor corona.

This is my favorite Mexican beer(closely followed by Negra Modelo). It reminds me a lot of Newcastle Brown Ale and thought the description here says it’s a Pale Lager, it reminds me much more of a Marzen (Octoberfest type) beer. It has a nice head that leaves a significant lace on the glass - has a malt, cereal, caramel and balanced sweet taste. The color is dark copper and clear. It has a medium body, lightly creamy texture, medium alcohol content, and moderately long finish. Maybe a bit too carbonated.

One of the best beers made in Monterrey. I believe the malt taste makes it special. It's unfortunate there's no place to get it in the US, or at least not to my knowledge.

This beer is definitely my favorite mexican draft. Unfortunately you have to drive across the border to get a taste of this beer. Its like a Dos XX Ambar and a Negra Modelo mated and had a smooth easy on the palate and absolutely no "afterbite" beer. If you happen to bring some back to the states I highly recommend buying a Caguama "large bottle" because it seems to hold taste better than the 12oz bottles. You can literally sit down and drink pitcher after pitcher of this stuff and not feel your stomach about to explode or a numb mouth because of the Hoppy bitterness ale’s will leave behind. Head south of the border and enjoy an "Oktoberfest" tasting lager and taste the smooth caramel aroma that will make your palate dance...

Extremely smooth and one of the few Mexican brews that doesn’t require a lime to be on hand in case it is old or mishandled. I say this, as we usually must bring several cases back across the border with us each month because it is not available in the USA. A much better beer than Negra Modelo, Dos Equis Amber or Pacifico Lager.
