COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hvedebock offers a soft body dominated by dark malt, spicy aroma, and fruity vinousity. Hvedebock is great for a cool summer evening on the terasse, or a evocative fall day at the fireplace. Enjoy it accompanying cheeses, oven braised game, or stews made of beef. Hvedebock is brewed from generous use of barley- and wheat malts. Hvedebock should be served at cellar temperature. Pour the beer in a huge glass and give it time to develop. Shake the last 10-15 ml. before pouring.

Bottle @ home. Slightly aged. Hazy dark redish brown, creamy beige head, spotty lacings. Slight lactic tart wheat aroma with chocolate powder, vague notes of cinnamon and nutmeg and some dark fruit. Taste: Soft flavour with a slight dusty maltiness with lots of chocolate/O'boy, dark dried fruit, oranges, bread and some cinnamon here too. Soft and nice. Starts big but turn a bit weak in the end. Soft creamy medium mouthfeel with soft carbonation and smooth milky texture. I think it has gained some elegans from the aging, but it also lacks som bottom.

This is a pretty decent weizenbock. Somewhat thin in mouthfeel and sharp in taste. Lots of caramel and a bit of chocolate.

Bottle bought 22nd June at Indslev Bryggeri, Fyn Island, Denmark. Pours a light brown foam, really dark-brown color, aroma syrupy and old milk... how about that.... Taste includes chocolate and licorice - someone may feel this as anis. Aftertaste with dark chocolate and also a twìst of cough mixture.. Okay pal for the evening finish nearby Båring Beach, Middelfart DK 26-6-2013.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
