Hvedebock offers a soft body dominated by dark malt, spicy aroma, and fruity vinousity. Hvedebock is great for a cool summer evening on the terasse, or a evocative fall day at the fireplace. Enjoy it accompanying cheeses, oven braised game, or stews made of beef. Hvedebock is brewed from generous use of barley- and wheat malts. Hvedebock should be served at cellar temperature. Pour the beer in a huge glass and give it time to develop. Shake the last 10-15 ml. before pouring.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330 ml bottle. Pours nearly black with white, lasting head. Aroma of dark malt, butterscotch and sweet liquorice. Flavor is well balanced between alcohol and malt flavor. Tastes mostly of dark malts, hints of butterscotch.

Bottle from Systembolaget, Sweden. Fluffy light grey-brown head that lasts. Dark red-brown color. Small aroma. Malty taste from dark malts but only light in the taste. Small body for a bock beer. Easy to drink and small bitterness.

Tasted from the bottle @home, on 29-05-12. Aroma isn't very intense, lots of caramel, barley and wheat. Taste is quite similar to aroma, but with pleasant caramel aftertaste, almost like a stout! Color is also quite similar to stout. That soft, lingering caramely tone just gets bigger with every sip. Just one slight downside - after warming up could feel some alcohol note in the taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
