COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Hvede I.P.A.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget. Orange-gold body colour with a wheat haze. Lasting white hue. Sweet aroma of wheat and fruity hops. Ripe orange and dry lemon in flavour alongside notes of wheat and mild spices. Soft, bittersweet endnotes. A decent, medium to thin bodied brew (Sunday eve at home in Tromsø, 29.01.2012).

330ml bottle. Pours a medium gold, with a white head. Fruity, spicy aromas, wheat, yeast, citrus, orange peel, mildly hoppy. Off-dry, light to medium body and bitterness, balanced CO2. Fruity, spicy taste, wheat, orange peel, sweetish, hints of hops, cloves. IPA signals hops. This beer doesn’t. (2012-04-16)

Bottle. Pours hazy dark yellow with frothy white lasting head. Aroma is yoghurt, dough, citrus, cloves and hints of bubble gum. Alcohol is present. Taste is medium bitter, light sweet and medium sour. Body is creamy with soft carbonation. Finish is bitter and sour with cloves and citrus. Very different from other IPAs - a very pleasant surprise :-)

Bottle, 5.5%. Wheaty bubble gum aroma. Cloudy orange colour. Big stable off-white head. The flavour is quite bitter with a wheat and bubble gum finish. Rather bitter, but does not have the aroma hop I would expect from the name.

tfredvik (377) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 5, 2012
Medium amber body with a faint haze. The off-white head is frothy, short-lived and doesn’t leave very much lacing. Moderate to faint aroma that is sweet and has distinct malty, hoppy and yeasty notes. Very wheat beer-ish aroma with some sweet fruits and spices. The taste is moderate sweet with a moderate bitter finish. The flavours are a bit less wheaty than the aroma. Sweet fruits and citric notes, caramel and faint resin. Medium body and carbonation, smooth, light dry and pleasant mouthfeel. An interesting mix of styles and a nice beer.
[33 cl bottle, enjoyed 5 months before BB date, from Vinmonopolet Storo, Oslo]

Bottle. An unclear golden beer with a quickly diminishing off-white head and good lacings. The aroma is quite fruity, with notes of banana, wheat lemon and orange peal. The flavor is sweet with a hoppy, very bitter and dry finish. Refreshing and fruity.

Bottle (33cl) from Oslo Mekaniske Verksted. Small offwhite head. Hazy orange/amber colour. Aroma of hops, fruit, yeast. Successful combination of IPA and wheat beer, where the wheat provides a refeshing sweetness that nicely balances the hop bitterness.

500 ml bottle. Copenhagen, Denmark.
Hazy amber colour with tiny white head. Yeast, wheat and lots of fruitiness in aroma. Flavour is yeast, wheat and that’s it. No IPA elements. Unfortunately flavour wasn’t that interesting or enjoyable.
