COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hvid is a astringent fresh, citrusy, and a perfect thirst quencher in the summer heat. Bring the beer to the terasse, to the park, or to the beach, and quench Your thirst in the warm sunshine. Or enjoy the beer together with newly caught fish, shellfish, or summer salads. Hvid is brewed from barley and wheat malt, but is also added unmalted wheat from the area around Indslev. The beer is also added a selected mixture of spices, that adds to the beers aroma. Serve the beer refrigerator cold in the largest glass in the house. Shake the last 10-15 ml. before pouring.

Tasted only two days after tapped: White good hue, foggy yellow body, some mustard-coloured tones. Some lacings. Nose; clover, ginger, wheat malts, vanilla, milky cream. Taste; fresh fruity, milky cream, fruity malts, nut, vanilla. Finishes fresh mild creamy fruity. You don’t use champagne anymore to shrimps, now you use Indslev Hvid. 500ml bottle, 4.4 % abv, via djoeye. Fair white head. A wheat haze to a golden coloured body. Malted wheat and mid-sweet fruits on the nose. Flavoured with pears and mid-sweet citrus on backbone of wheat, lighter notes of spices. Medium to thin bodied. A little unvaried. Alright, average stuff (watching Spain vs Netherlands on TV, Tromsø 13.06.2014).

Best before 03.06.13. Hazy, pale and gretish yellow. Not much head. Aroma of vanilla biscuits. Banana and vanilla biscuits in taste. Subdued bitterness. Decent.

Fra flaske (bb. 060313) på RBHD-treff ombord på Fridtjofen mai-14: nesten ikke skum, og aromaen har nesten forsvunnet. Lett syrlig smak men uten det krydderinnslaget som gjerne følger stilen. Kort og enkel.Må prøves i ferskere utgave.

Sigmund (5179) - Tau, NORWAY - MAY 9, 2014
Shared bottle at local tasting, bought in Denmark. BB date 06.03.13. Hazy pale yellow colour, moderate white head. Moderate wheaty and citrussy aroma, also mild spicy notes. Fairly refreshing wheaty flavour, light citrussy and mildly spicy notes. Would probably be even better if fresher. Will buy again.

Bottle. Hazy golden color with a thin head. Aroma of grain and hay with some hops. Not much wheat in taste. It’s something like between a pilsener and an English Bitter. Lively carbonation.

Svesse (6174) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - AUG 5, 2013
(Draught at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen, 12 July 2013) Hazy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, sourish nose with citrus, white bread, coriander and grass. Fruity, wheaty taste with notes of citrus, white bread, coriander and grass. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Low bitterness. Well made witbier. Quite enjoyable.

0.5 l bottle from supermarket in Lohja. Well, it is not bad, but somehow it didn’t make any impression on me. There is the taste of citrus as should be. Still, the overall performance was a bit bland.
