Hvid is a astringent fresh, citrusy, and a perfect thirst quencher in the summer heat. Bring the beer to the terasse, to the park, or to the beach, and quench Your thirst in the warm sunshine. Or enjoy the beer together with newly caught fish, shellfish, or summer salads. Hvid is brewed from barley and wheat malt, but is also added unmalted wheat from the area around Indslev. The beer is also added a selected mixture of spices, that adds to the beers aroma. Serve the beer refrigerator cold in the largest glass in the house. Shake the last 10-15 ml. before pouring.

330ml bottle. Pours a hazy, medium straw, white head. Estery, spicy aroma, citrus, cloves, wheat, yeast, phenolic. Off-dry, light body, low bitterness, lively CO2. Fruity, spicy taste, wheat, phenols, cloves, orange peel, coriander seeds, yeast. True to style, but maybe a bit on the sweet, artificial side? (2012-04-16)

09-may-2012, draft @Couloir. Hazy light golden with white head. Weak yeasty nose. Taste is pretty much malty hay’ish with yeasty stuff. Body is a bit thin. Uninteresting Wit.

Btl. at DØE Meeting: No head at all, Pale yellow. nose is sweet and almost mazipan with butter. Flaw?? Medium body and length. Not very good as it tastes mostly of melted butter. In my opninion it should never have been bottled!!

Bottle at Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Hazy pale yellow color, white head. Decent smell, nice refreshing taste. Soft, pretty smooth mouthfeel. Low carbo, low body. Overall pretty nice.

Bottle @ Naboen, Bergen. Murky dark-hued straw yellow body, medium white head. Faint notes of lemon and straw with hints of grains to the nose. Taste gives me sweet grainy flavors with faint yeasty tones, hints of lemongrass and pale malts. OK, but a bit edgeless, even for a wit. And a bit too sweet as well.

Pale yellow color with a fine head. Aroma of citrus. Flavor is sligthly sweet. A little thin but definitely an ok lawnmower beer.

Bottled (Alvinne shop, BB 12/2009)
Hazy yellow color, small white head. Papery and metallic nose with hints of pepper. Light palate. Crisp carbonation. Wheat malty, slightly citrusy, hints of coriander. Very watery ... quite tasteless overall.
