3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Smells not too much, but tastes delicious and absolutely wonderful. The aftertaste disappears very quickly. But it was okay as me. Clearly a beer I can think of buying again.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle @ Rene’s house. Thanks so much for picking this up and sharing! Dark reddish orange appearance with a light brown head. Pretty sweet, brown sugar, caramel, toasty malty aroma. Fairly well balanced, lightly nutty, caramel, toffee, a touch roasty flavor. This one was fun to taste, though I thought it was a doppelbock and not a weizenbock.

Medium body with a creamy texture. Taste is medium sweet with a long sweet malty finish. Light burn from the alcohol - this a bock after all. Good beer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. 29 days past ’best before’. Pours a slightly hazy amber brown with a creamy beige head and a bit of lacing. Soft aroma; malty with a touch of (citrus) hops, fruity and a bit grainy. Tart, sweetish flavour with dark fruits and a spicy note. Remote metallic note as it warms. Bitter, fruity finish with lingering grainy and grassy notes (the latter approaching cloves) and a slight alcohol burn. Slightly oily palate, but with a sting to it, which complements the oiliness well. 23.09.11.
