COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Svane Hvede is refreshing, fruity, and full of inviting notes of citrus, banana, and cloves. Enjoy it as a thirst quencher for workdays and parties. Put it on the table when you want to make your lunch even better or serve it with light dishes from the Danish summer kitchen. The recipe is from Bayern, where our brewmaster Stefan Peter Stadler was educated as a brewer 30 years ago. Serve the beer directly from the refrigerator. Serve the beer in wheat beer glasses and take your time serving it. Shake the last of the beer before pouring.

Bottled (Mallaskukko, BB 02/2010). Hazy orange color, small white head. Lemony, banana candy aroma. Refreshing carbonation. Bubblegum, candy, banana, some spices. Sweetish, but refreshing weizen. Better than average 2.82 suggested.

This one pours a orange to yellow cloudy body with a large frothy to creamy white head. The head disappears completely very fast and leaves virtually no lacing. The aroma isn’t very strong, but still both pleasant and fitting for the style: banana, spices, yeast, citric notes and dust. The taste is moderate sweet with a light to moderate bitter finish. The flavours are a bit stronger than I expected from the aroma, and again they are clean and pleasant. The mouthfeel is very nice, the body is fuller and the texture is more oily than most hefe-weizens that I’ve tried. Medium carbonation. The finish is somewhat dry, even though the sweetness lasts way into the finish. A nice beer that some might find a bit too sweet and not that refreshing, but I liked it!

Rating #708, bottle from Kvickly, Englandsvej

Appearance is unclear yellow and with a nice head, though it dissapears rather quickly. Aroma has banana, hay and a bit lavender, thereby very refreshing. Taste has cloves, malts, rubber and a bit caramel. Mild bitter finish. Medium palate. Really refreshing and drinkable beer!

500ml bottle from Vinmonopolet, Langnes. A wheat haze to an orange coloured body. Loose, patch head, no lace. Sweet fruity aroma with modest hints of spices. Taste of sweet banana and dough followed by mild, spicy bitterness. Soft carbonated. Dry-sweet texture. On a very average level (Tromsø, 03.02.2012).

Flaske 0,5l fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø Sentrum. Aprikosfarget. Uklart. OK skumdannelse. Litt lavt til hveteøl å være. God appelsinaroma. Lite kullsyre. Smaken er sitrusfrukter med innslag av banan. Blir vel søt. 0 bitterhet. ---Corrected after being rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone 1.6.0

Cloudy gold. Wheat malt and yeast character. Mild, soft, inviting. Fairly low on the banana scale, easy on the coriander, too. Boring.
