A letdown after having Pepin earlier. Sticky and sweet with little hop bite at all. Maybe a funky keg. Sampled at brew at the zoo.

Appearance was reddish honey amber with diminishing 1 finger white creamy head, no lacing. Aromas where everywhere yeasts are bananas, cloves, and malts sweet coco honey.Hops where slight more like strong ale not a dipa. Taste was chocolatly malts, sweet honey upfront then the warmth of the aclohol(mellow). Palate was smooth creamy carbonation with meduim body a lasting honey aclohol finish. Honey sweet...

Hopped floral aroma and taste. Pours a golden-amber in color. Didnt keep good notes on this one. (GABF ’11)

A: The beer pours a hazy golden orange color with a finger of white head. S: Quite a sweet nose on this beer. Big time malt/caramel along with toffee and sweet fruits (for good measure). A bit of citrus, mostly grapefruit, with a touch of grass. In case it wasn’t sweet enough, there’s a bit of brown sugar. T: Not surprisingly, the flavor is sweet, too! There’s a distinct flavor of fruit punch. It’s very sweet/sugary with a bit of fruit character (pineapple and grapefruit). There is minimal bitterness and even more sweetness from toffee, caramel, and brown sugar. M: The body is medium, surprisingly not syrupy, with medium carbonation. O: I wanted this to be good as it’s always nice to have a good, local IPA, but I just can’t say it is.

[Draft @ brewery] Clouded reddish amber hue, creamy head formation. Rich malts and hop citrus on the nose. Great blend on the palate. Creamy, bready malts, sherry-like fruitiness and richness, tingling hop citrus and bitterness. Smooth but hoppy, fruity and full flavored. I’d call this a barley rather than the DIPA, or Strong Ale that the brewer favored. This batch did weigh in at over 11% too.

Draft. Darker orange pour, white head. Sweet malt, caramel, orange, citrusy hops, and sugary. Under attenuated, but still decent. Hides the abv well.

red/brown in color. Had at the brewery on tap. Smells like caramel and hops. Tastes pretty sweet. Also tastes pretty light for 11 percent, which i gotta watch out for ; )

Off Tap@IE brewery , a lot of Orange Blossom honey flavor ,Amber in color, white head.I think this is more of a Strong Ale than a Double IPA

Dark orangish pour with nice head. Aroma and taste was very citrusy and a nice bitterness edge with some sweet notes from honey. Nice malty balance as well. Thought this was enjoyable and certainly didn’t seem like 11%.
