Commercial Description:
Brewed by Belhaven for Innis & Gunn
Available filtered and pasteurised in bottles.
"For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish."

330ml Bottle: Aroma of oak, honey, wood, caramel, butter and vanilla. Poured orange/light amber in color with a large, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Not sparkling. Tastes of bourbon, oak, vanilla, wood, butter, and caramel. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Oak, butter, and caramel finish.

330ml bottle at Le Mirage in Tromsų. Pours a dark amber body with a slowly fading, off-white foamy head. Aroma in the direction of dark honeyed oak. Malty taste mixed with vanilla and wood. Low, but noticeable bitterness to the finish. Well bodied. Not exactly the perfect drink to meat (19.07.2008).

a right little hopper. Ginger beerish, or marzipan. Also reminds me of fried pre-cooked bangers with tomato tomato sause. A sweet edge is apparent
