Bottle. Deep golden colour with a small white head. Strong oak and vanilla notes in the aroma, along with some floral and lemony hops, and a faint skunkiness (clear bottle, grrr...). Mouthfeel is light. Flavour of toffee, vanilla, bourbon, wood and lemon. As with the original, I find the body a bit too thin to fully support the flavour, but it’s still an interesting and tasty beer.

Clear golden poor with a small white head. Delicate aomas of butterscotch, oak, dates, vanilla... Very unique IPA thats for sure. Very creamy medium bodied ale, slightly oily mouthfeel. Oak flavors, slight citrus, butterscotch finish. Very live carbonation with a great balance between bitter and sweet. Very interesting mouthfeel.

330ml bottle, 6.4% a/v 1 of only 68,000 ever made. Pours a sunny gold colour with a nice white head. The nose is very citrusy with hops. The taste is great. Toffee and oak flavours dominate with some excellent citrus undertones. Incredibly mellow beer with a delicious whisky aftertaste.. VERY interesting and delicious.

2006 bottle courtesy of Sammy. Dark bronze. Quickly thinning head. Big woody burgundy aroma. Woody flavour. Hard to find the hops. Sour finish. Bit of chocolate. Interesting change of pace but one bottle is enough before moving on.

Bottle, 2006 vintage. Deep clear golden, small white head. Malty aroma with notes of wood, whisky and vanilla. Medium bodied, very smooth mouthfeel. Too sweet and alcoholic, and too little bitterness for an IPA.
