Golden-yellow in colour with a thin white coloured head, very light lacing. The aroma is very sweet, corn syrup and buttered popcorn. The flavour is again very sweet, more butter than in the aroma, chemical, light caramel. Sweet mouthfeel, medium/light body, mild carbonation. Finishes lingering, harsh.

This is a butter bomb. I think that this might be better suited on my toast than in my beer glass.

330ml bottle from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario.
Opened on March 21, 2008.
No date.

Bottle. Pours a toffee colour with a thin, short duration head. Nose is woody, toasty, and sweet. Flavor is very smooth, more wood, sweet caramel and maybe roasted nuts. This was very smooth and was more enjoyable as the beer warmed. Delicious, I would totally have this one again. Thanks to blankboy for the bottle.

Golden color, with a thin persistent layer. It has a light aroma of toffee and fudge, very nice. Quite mellow mouthfeel, lean malt flavor, with vanilla and cookies, sweetish; there is also a touch of citrus fruits, maybe even sour. The final is not strong, with this mix of vanilla and citrus fruits. Not bad, but definitively strange.

Bottle, from Waitrose, Lincoln. Gold, thin but lasting white head and quite intrusive condition. Pleasant woody vanilla sweetness, some toffee and a faint citric twang in the nose, quite shortlived in the mouth with an initial caramel sweetness quickly evaporating leaving a brief sense of sourness that fades into a dry phenolic smokiness that lingers aimlessly

Appearance: Clear golden/copper. Alright amount of head. Aroma: Oak and slightly herby. Caramel. Taste: Oaky and smokey. Caramel again. Unpleasant taste. Info: 330ml bottle, 30/3-2008

Bottle from LCBO. Pours nice full yellow colour with a thin white head. Aroma has an oaky sweetness about it. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Taste is full of malts with some oakiness and sweetness. Fairly bitter finish.

Bottled from my local Waitrose. Reading the blurb on the neat little box that this came in, I was expecting a real hop treat. There were interesting wood flavours present but hardly any hops what so ever! Very dissopointing.

Bottle from Waitrose, Ramsgate. Pours a deep yellow colour. Aroma is full of vanilla with a little oak and toffee. A lot of oak and vanilla in the flavour, also giving way to a lovely whisky finish. Stunning beer.
