Commercial Description:
Bottle: Pasteurised.
Brewed by Belhaven for Innis & Gunn
Ingredients: Golden Promise and crystal malt; Phoenix hops.
""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

Bright copper with lasting ring. Toasty toffee woodsy whiskey coffee-cake aroma. Malty toasted toffee flavor with mild whiskey barrel and British hop. Medium body and carbo. Fairly complex and tasty. I like the whiskey barrel again of this. I could drink many of these.

Bottle from the Scottish Pub in downtown Savannah, GA. Pours a clear orange with low carbonation and a thin, white head. This is quite a change of pace. Nose is vanilla, cream soda, oak, honey. Taste is very creamy- pretty much really good cream soda albeit alcoholic. Aftertaste is a little sour. Very oily on the palate. Interesting and I would recommend it to others.

Bottle: Orangish colored pour with thin white head. Sweet, citrusy, vanilla aroma. Malty, woody, slight metallic finish. I liked this.

Fabulous nose. smalls like cookies and oatmeal and brownies and heath bar and peach. Also a pretty beer. slightly red amber, Sweet and soft taste, a little penny taste in there takes away some. Mostly smooth on the palate but not gooey; a little seltzery. The oak definitely has its way with this beer and i really like it. especially the nose. Highly underrated in IMHO!

Bottle. Copper coloured with white head. Smoked wood and vanilla aroma. First flavour is quite sweet followed by a smoky bitterness that doesn’t quite balance that initial sweetness. Complex flavours of whisky, vanilla, wood, berries and honey. A good effort but its excessive sweetness lets it down.

Pours out of the bottle yellow-ish brown with a small cloying head that almost looks sticky. Aroma is sweet, cinamon and honey. It smells like a cinnamon bun. The palate is super complex. Honey, oak, cinnamon, almost a scotch-esque favor in there as well, most definatly a fruitier highland scotch. There are also some soft fruit notes in there as well (possible pear) and a gentile hoppiness. Finnish lingers with an oaky bite. Good, good beer.
