Innis & Gunn Oak Aged Beer (Bottle)

Great beer. Tastes like a hint of Whiskey in it. This is because it is aged in oak barrels. Crisp flavour.

330ml Bottle: Aroma of oak, honey, wood, caramel, butter and vanilla. Poured orange/light amber in color with a large, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Not sparkling. Tastes of bourbon, oak, vanilla, wood, butter, and caramel. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Oak, butter, and caramel finish.

Bottle: Looks like cream soda gold with a large white head. Aroma caught me off guard with a vinegar hint up front, before mellowing out into some softer notes of bourbon. Sweet flavor with lots of bourbon and some malt and toffee. Wow, plenty of woody notes. Still a little sweet comes through.

Bottle: Color as shown on the left, light head. Nose of vanilla and light wood with some honey and coconut notes. The flavor is smooth with a light sweet honey and vanilla note from the oak. Seems like they tried to get too much barrel into this one, it drowns out whatever base beer was there. Quaffable however.

Beautiful copperbrown beer with thin white head. Aroma is sweet but still there are lot of nuancees. Flavour is balanced: bitter and malts Almost light to drink and lot of quite much of carbonation. Oak Aged Beer medium beer: there is nothing annoying and nothing brilliant and I can’t find oak barrels even I know it.

330 ml bottle. Nice coppery orange colour and a thin white head. Aroma is very sweet and fruity, with vanilla and lemon. Flavour is sweet, fruity and buttery, stongly oaky, and has some flowery hops in the finish. The aftertaste is nice and warm but a bit short. A very tasty and interesting beer.

Bottle from LCBO. Beautiful clear amber/copper color (same as pic) with an off-white head. This beer has an insane amount of oak aroma and flavor. If you like oaky wines or whiskey this beer is heaven in a bottle. The flavor is sweet vanilla, oak, malt and caramel...mmmmmm. A little boozy aftertaste and wood. Unique beer.

Good frothy head on a wel carbonated dark gold pour,well amber.Aroma,rich hops,good strong malt,nut like notes,sweetness of butterscotch.Flavorsbutterscotch,nutty,malt sweetness citrus comes through,this is good stuff mellow to drink yet strong in flavour.Finish sweet full flavoured.
