Thick fine-laced head that clings to the glass. Rich malty aromas with a strong vanilla note. Caramel pudding. The aroma is quite unique. Hop bitterness at the front of the tongue - enhanced by the high carbonation level. Rich caramel flavour. It feels quite sweet in the mouth, but there are enough hops here to balance most of it. Very drinkable even though the alcohol level is rather high. Nice. Bov (5426), Bienne, Switzerland

Pours Amber, halcyon, and unclouded. Small ,dense ivory coloured head.
The nose is both sweet and oakish, a back ground of hops and banana and citrus, sort of a weird combo but it works.
Taste is agreeable and mellow, almost cream like in texture on first sip.Caramel, vanilla and yes, oak, come through strongest followed by the carbonation and a earthy bitter grass/lemon taste.the transition back to unctuous is not that smooth, but the finish is thick on the tongue and very candy like.
This is a good beer, worth our time to find and try.

A mostly lasting large creamy white head that tops up a clear medium orange /copper body. Moderate lacing. No particules. Heavy filtration. Aroma is heavy nutty while hops are very faint lemon / lime. Also, there are evident traces of toffee and excessive notes of vanilla from barrel aging. Initial flavor is heavily sweet /nutty and gets confirmed and reinforced in the development. Finish is long and sweet. medium to full body... creamy texture... Soft carbonation... larsga (2959), Oslo, Norway

Light, malty aroma with notes of nuts and dried fruit, and perhaps a hint of smoke. Lovely, deep, sweet taste of smoky malts with notes of creamy vanilla and perfume. Aftertaste is dry and smoky. I should definitely have bought more of these. Skinnyviking (4141), Copenhagen, Denmark

Copper, slightly oily looking, with a glossy off-white that diminishes quickly. Little visible carbonation and no lacing. Very whisky-like nose, dominated by malt and esters - honey, orange, vanilla, wood, smokey. Sweet juicy carmel and autumn-fruit malt up front, a mildly-bitter pithy middle and smokey, woody, lingering finish. Mouth weight is tending medium with a drying carbonation. Started off very well but loses something in the middle and with the carbonic dryness. Well-kept bottle, a tribute to the importer and the store. Good recipe but perhaps too clinical.
