""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

I enjoyed this beer. Decent. Dark Golden colour with medium beige head. Light malty sweet aroma, Whiskey like subtle notes to it from the oak cask. Smooth palate.

Nice bottle. Pity it contains the most diacetyl laden beer I’ve ever tried!! The oak added an interesting diversion but it couldn’t keep me interested enough for me to actually drink the whole thing.

Bottle. Pours light amber/brown with an off-white head. Malty, wooden aroma with an acidic touch. Fruity and citric notes in the background. Interesting, but nothing special. Flavour is malty with slightly smoked notes – feels quite whiskey-like. Again, interesting, but nothing special. Thin finish. 03-01-06.

Medium head on a caramel brown body. It has a very rich aftertaste, slightly reminding of whisky, perhaps due to ts maturing in noak kask - I wouldn’t be susprised if the cask had contained whisky previously. It all makes for a very refreshing taste. Definitely one of my favourite Scottish beers.

Fine off-white head, clear orange body. Malt and a bit of caramel in the aroma along with flower tones. Sourish fruit and malt flavor with a candied touch. Sparkling mouthfeel. Ordinary and very far from the Cask Strength version!

Pours a clear amber. Sweet with aromas of whiskey and oak. Full and very creamy body. Cream soda-ish?

Little to no head. Lightly carbonated, a few bubbles rising. Definitely getting a bit of oak aroma, vanilla and buttery flavours coming through on a long and quite powerful finish. The strength is hinted at, but doesn’t overwhelm all the other flavours.
