""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

Clear bottle. Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. Aroma is grainy, sweet, and rather oaky. Taste is sweet malty, and lots of oak

Bottle from 2005. Oakish taste is here with a pleasant aroma of vanilla and oak. Its definately refined but not as tasty as some of the other oak-aged beers I’ve had. The alcohol is well hidden.

Clear amber colour with thin white head and lots of small bead carbonation. Slightly acidic carmel malt nose with underlying alcohol notes. Sweet carmel malt taste with bitting dry malt finish.

Overblown and overpriced. Aroma put me in the mind of boiled peanuts, grain, dough and moss. Good bottle - needs to be brown. Color of cream sherry, white head. Light smoke, sweetish, whiskey, clear flavor. Finish is quick and coldwater. Decent, drinkable, but left me looking for more. Finishes medium-light sweet and vanilla. Bottle at David Copperfield’s, NYC, 3rd HHR trip

Bright copper colour. Vanilla, wood and caramel aromas shoot forth. The flavour is sweet. Grainy notes are infused with prominent wood and vanilla. A refined, drinkable beer, if a little lacking in complexity.

330ml clear bottle. Honeyish-amber colour, small tight white head. Whisky-ish nose. Flavour of sweetish caramel with whisky and artifical vanilla.

Pours a dark copper colour with off-white head. Aroma is at first very corn-ish, but turns into caramel as the beer warms. Not very pleasant at first, and a little artificial later. The taste is okay, and the mouthfeel wonderful - very viscuous. Sadly, the aftertaste is lacking.
