""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

Bottle. Amber colour with a small white head. Sweet, malty, oaky and a bit sour. Vanilla, caramel, toffee, butter, syrup, sour cream, alcohol, oak, metal, grain. Sweet and cloying. Feels a bit off.

A nice amber color withjh a nice head. A good aroma , sweet and fruity. I love the taste of caramel and oak and the buttery sweet finnish. A clear favorite of mine.

From the 1 pt. 7.6 fl. oz clear bottle marked 16 Jan 09-8017A 12:38. The pour was amber in tone with a decent amount of beige head that stays around for an extended period and excellent lacing. The aroma was a welll-balanced misture of sweet malts and something fruity like apple or wine. Medium mouthfeel. The taste had a sweet malt character subtle hops. It had a sort of dry fermented sensation of wine and there was no aftertaste. This was an exclellent beer and one of the best I’ve had lately.

Rich and clear amber colour. Malt and caramel aromas. Slightly watery mouthfeel. Fairly sweet flavours of malt and caremels. Not a bad ale.

(bottle 330 ml) Clear copper color with a puffy white head. Aroma is quite intense. Lots of spice, vanilla, fruit, oak, butter, and caramel malts. Some scotch as well. Flavor is buttery and sweet at the beginning with a smooth sweetness from the oak, a mild bitterness in the middle, and a very buttery and sweet finish. Warms a little more than I thought 6.6% would. Very tasty.

Clear copper pour. Fluffy off white head and surprisingly no lace. Sweet malts and oak on the nose. Bourbon, toffee, oak, and vanilla. Slight citric finish. Seemed like there was more more alcohol evident then the list 6.6% ABV

aroma has some serious pears, with a touch of vanilla. flavour is caramel, spices, surrounded by apples and pears. Its whiskey notes come through on the bitter sweet and, I think, gorgeous backend. it’s medium bodied and ultra smooth. this stuff is underrated, perphaps because its so easy to find a skunked bottle. i really wish innis and gunn would sell this in their singles boxes, most stores don’t know how to store this stuff!

330 ml bottle. Clear, golden body with a nice, but collapsing off-white head. Aroma is strong caramel with vanilla. Flavor is sweet caramel, vanilla, oak and descent bitterness, quite smooth. The aftertaste has a clear indication of whisky. There is a lot better and stronger flavored oak aged beers out there, but this is quite nice anyway.
