""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

Bottle from Doboy, shared at our last tasting. Clear gold with a sturdy, creamy white head. Oak aroma quite evident, caramel, some earthy character as well. Medium body, smooth, silky mouthfeel, light carbonation. Toffe flavors up front, soft, subtle bitterness on the back side allows a gently sweet finish. I like the oak flavors and aroma, and found this quite enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours bourbon-esque orange brown. Aroma has wood, scotch, caramel and toffee. Palate is buttery and smooth, and flavors are soothingly sweet. This beer suggests barrel-aging very strongly, mainly due to sweet residual scotch flavors and woodiness rather than complexity. A solid drink.

Compliments of doboy! Pours from clear bottle a clear, copper body and a lush, white head. Aroma of malty, with an oaky whiskyish, with a woody accent. Flavour was reminiscent of whisky, vanilla, butterscotch, warming alcohol notes (strong ale, after all), and (surprisingly) a hint of dill. The aftertaste is all vanilla and dill. Lovely beer from my peoples homeland! Thanks Ed!

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with very little head. Aroma is malty with a hit of sherry or a little scotch. Taste a caramel malt that ends with a bit of scotch or sherry taste. Very good.
