Commercial Description:
Bottle: Pasteurised.
Brewed by Belhaven for Innis & Gunn
Ingredients: Golden Promise and crystal malt; Phoenix hops.
""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

An amber or nutbrown beer with a fine yellow head. The aroma is very fruity and very hoppy with notes of strawberries. The flavor is sweet malty with a very hoppy end. A really good beer. Compared to the cask strength, this is boring.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a clear, warm amber with a creamy, off-white head leaving some lacework. Aroma is pure whisky. Medium body with lightly sweet malt and caramel. Otherwise pleasant notes of wood and whisky with a dry and alcoholic finish. 180107

Bottled. Dark amber. Aroma of honey and oak. Sweet and clean with obvious cask character. Notes of vanilla and sugar. Low bitterness. Too light bodied. Lovely aroma, but a bit empty.

33 cL clear bottle. Pours almost clear and golden yellow to orange with a small yet dense and off-white head. Dry malty and slight grassy hoppy aroma. Flavour is breadish malty, light sweet and with a mild roasted note. Caramelish too. Light bitterness showing through. Bitter and breadish malty in the finish.

Bottle. Light unclear amber orange color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy toffee and butter, vanilla, honey, oak, wood, light citrus Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration. Very nice and smoth. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is flat to soft. Very nice ;o))

Bottled. Honeyish yellow/amber colour with big offwhite head. Aroma of oak, hops and vanilla. Flavour is malty, oaky and also hints of vanilla and caramel. Finish becomes fruity and vanillaish. A bit too sweet, but otherwise very nice.

Bottle. Creamy, smokey whiskey aroma. Dark copper colour. Flavour is also smokey in a sort of creamy way, perhaps vanilla. Interesting, and I like it.

Bottled. Orange coloured with a small off white head. Malty aroma with notes of grain and alcohol. Sweet malty flavour with notes of alcohol. I can’t taste that it’s oak aged.
