""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

Bottle. Copper coloured with white head. Smoked wood and vanilla aroma. First flavour is quite sweet followed by a smoky bitterness that doesn’t quite balance that initial sweetness. Complex flavours of whisky, vanilla, wood, berries and honey. A good effort but its excessive sweetness lets it down.

330 ml bottle. Small white head. Clear, deep reddish / amber liquid. Lots of vanilla and sweet caramel malt. Low bitteration and sharp carbonatioin. Flavor is mostly sweet but dries up a bit in the slightly woody finish. Almost too sweet for me. Clear oak notes in the finish. A bit thin moutfeel.

Pours clear amber colour with a white medium-size thick head. Mouthfeel is light, quite dry, but still round. Aroma has some toffee and vanilla, specially in the aftertaste. Has a bit of whisky aromas too.

Poured amber with a vanishing white head. Apple aroma with a modicum of charcoal. Flavour is woody with buttery notes. Smooth too, with a slight hop angle. Alcohol not noticeable. The oak grows on me.

Light copper with disappearing head. Aroma reeks of oak and caramell. Taste goes the the way. Don’t know how to better explain it but this beer reminds me of soil and autumish flavours. Like a forest in october or something. Maybe I’ll be able to put it better if I have this once more.

Bottle: malty, loads of caramel, toffee, vanilla and oak, sweet, a bit too much but very enjoyable beer overall.

Bottle - clear honey colour with creamy white head. Medium carbonation, smooth and medium to fulll bodied. Rich malty flavour, fruity, woody (oak?) with maybe a hint of citrus and spice. Sweetish, lightly bitter finish with ab alcohol warmth.

330 ml bottle. Nice coppery orange colour and a thin white head. Aroma is very sweet and fruity, with vanilla and lemon. Flavour is sweet, fruity and buttery, stongly oaky, and has some flowery hops in the finish. The aftertaste is nice and warm but a bit short. A very tasty and interesting beer.
