Commercial Description:
Bottle: Pasteurised.
Brewed by Belhaven for Innis & Gunn
Ingredients: Golden Promise and crystal malt; Phoenix hops.
""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

Simply divine. No other beer even comes close to the flavour of Innis & Gunn. The flavour starts off bitter with a slight oakiness, which gives way to subtle caramel and vanilla after-notes. A MUST TRY Scotish beer.

This is a delicious ale, enjoyed cold, and is far too easy to drink for something that is quite strong.

Incredible beer. Can barely call it a beer, as it seems you are drinking a dessert. Vanilla, toffee, and caramel flavours are most certainly present in this maple syrup-coloured concoction. Certainly worth a try if you haven’t before!

A very good beer I must say I don’t care about anyone else’s opinion. Yes, I’ll agree it’s a little different but sometimes different is good, in this case very good they run out all the time at the LC (MOST Canadians will know what an LC is)

A nice amber color withjh a nice head. A good aroma , sweet and fruity. I love the taste of caramel and oak and the buttery sweet finnish. A clear favorite of mine.

From the 1 pt. 7.6 fl. oz clear bottle marked 16 Jan 09-8017A 12:38. The pour was amber in tone with a decent amount of beige head that stays around for an extended period and excellent lacing. The aroma was a welll-balanced misture of sweet malts and something fruity like apple or wine. Medium mouthfeel. The taste had a sweet malt character subtle hops. It had a sort of dry fermented sensation of wine and there was no aftertaste. This was an exclellent beer and one of the best I’ve had lately.
