""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

Overblown and overpriced. Aroma put me in the mind of boiled peanuts, grain, dough and moss. Good bottle - needs to be brown. Color of cream sherry, white head. Light smoke, sweetish, whiskey, clear flavor. Finish is quick and coldwater. Decent, drinkable, but left me looking for more. Finishes medium-light sweet and vanilla. Bottle at David Copperfield’s, NYC, 3rd HHR trip

Bottle: Pours a transparent light copper orange, with mild effervescence leaving a clingy-lacing airy white head. Aroma of sweet toasty British caramel malt has a touch of oak and butterscotch. Body starts with a nice, light sugary sweetness revealing some soft woody mellow oak before a drier toasty finish. This could be more assertive, but still has a unique flavor and is very drinkable.

Bottled: Poured a nice amber/toffee colour with a big tightly packed head. Odd aroma - grassy, sappy wood, medicinal & malty. Flavours are big on malt, some toffee and an odd sweetness probably imparted by the oak aging. Has a very smooth medium body. An interesting beer, a premium bitter with a twist.

Amber color, faint head. A bit of soaked wood in the aroma. Smooth texture. Vanilla notes. Different brew. Warms the body nicely.

Special thanks to Kramario. Amber, white creamy head. Soft vanilla and caramel warm to just a hint of old oak. Light honey vanilla and caramel flavors balance on a touch of booze and wood. 6.6% shines. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, quick dry finish. A touch basic, but still worth a try if given the chance…

Darkish amber w/ frothy off-white foam. Vanilla, caramel, oak & berries on the nose. Light, slightly grainy feel. Flavour is sweet w/ caramel & toffee notes & a whiskey-ish character in the finish.

Pours with a golden body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. It’s lightly malty with notes of toffee, vanilla and wood as well as a light hoppiness. Light to medium bodied and smooth.

Poured amber with a vanishing white head. Apple aroma with a modicum of charcoal. Flavour is woody with buttery notes. Smooth too, with a slight hop angle. Alcohol not noticeable. The oak grows on me.
