Sweet and very hoppy, floral aromas with a hint of honey on the palate, a formidable beer

8th April 2008 Clear blond beer that quickly blooms in it’s sweetish vanilla oak flavours. Why am I the only Innis & Gunn fan in the world?

330ml Bottle at Home 15/05/2010 White head. Carbonation. Hoppy aroma. Clear golden coloured hoppy floral and slightly citrus flavoured with a hint of dryness and bitterness in a vanilla and oak finish.

A deeper orange colour than I expected, but a lovely small creamy head. The hops have a whack of depth on the nose - not overpowering but deep. Lots of summer grains here too. Light oak immediately apparent in the mouth with some soft peach and maltiness. Very well balanced and blends well with the hops. Terrific mouth texture that is the softest cream possible. Impressive. Make sure this one is drunk from a glass and let it sit for about 5 minutes.

Drank straight from the bottle (horrors!) so no idea of how it pours. The aroma is sharp, more of what one would expect from a Pilsner. Color is very pleasing and certainly meets the expectation of a beer named "Blondie". Taste is good, but a bitter long lasting after-taste ruins the beer somewhat. Will buy again.

A pleasant beer, but not a wonderful one. The head disapears quickly and turns into a faint scum, not pleasant to look at. The beer feels oddly greasy. Despite these failings though it tastes really rather lovely. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Bottle from Tesco. Pours golden copper with a small white head. Vanilla, toffee hides the alcohol well. Very flavoursome blonde beer.

33cl bottle. Light golden with small head. Looks like a lager. Nose ; smells like a well hopped lager with spices. Strong citrus taste. I was trying to sniff the wood out and I did but far in the background but I wouldn’t say if it was my imagination or the smell was just so thin. Sip ; Low density, low carbonation. Sweet with interstingly hoppy finish. Not bad overall.

Bottle. The usual signature vanilla backdrop dominateswith some fruitiness. Poured with a small head.Think I am starting to appreciate their beers although they do all tend to taste very similar.

Ok, so first off, this rating may be a little biased, for some reason Innis and Gunn beers all seem to hold a special place in my heart. Pours a light golden yellow with a very shortly lived white head. The aroma is sweet honey, vanilla, butter, brown sugar. The flavour is pretty good reflection of the aroma, with a malty sweetness upfront, an underlying vanilla flavour, a light buttery taste, finishs on a mixture of light hops and brown sugar. Medium carbonation, slippery mouth feel, but very refreshing and tasty, fully enjoyed this beer.
