COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made exclusively for Canada, matured in Canadian whisky oak imported to Scotland. Full bodied and rounded in all the right places with toffee notes from the rye balanced by a soft oak character.

Pours a gorgeous blood-orange red, with a moderate, but sticky head. Immediate impression is of maple, with a nice dried-fruit and spice character. The rye sourness is present on the nose also but really hits you on the palate. The rye gives this beer an extremely pleasant initial sharpness and moves into the classic oaky-sweet Innis & Gunn - style palate. There is more fruitiness with this beer than I have found with other Innis & Gunn offerings, with a very nice, long, sour, finish. I am surprised with this as, after the Rum Cask I was fully expecting to be disappointed by this beer. Good Stuff!

Pours a really nice coppery red with a decent sized white head. Smells like maple (weird, no indication that maple was used). Dried fruit, oak, rye, biscuit malt, dark fruit, maple and spice on the nose. The beer bites you right away on the palate. Rye whiskey comes our first and then moves to a fruity (apple), sweeter mid-palate. Biscuit malt, dark fruit, and a pleasant, slightly sour finish. Nice carbonation. Surprisingly good.
