3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Malty_MacHops (555) - Eastanollee, Georgia, USA - JUN 23, 2012This is ok. The aromas a baked bread, vanilla, and a touch of diacetyl. The beer is amber with a fizzy fading white head and no lacing. The tastes really bring out the oak with notes of vanilla and butterscotch and a baked sugar cookie. The beer is medium bodied and very much on the sweet side but finishes dry with a very mild bitterness. Honestly I think the oaking may have been a little overdone for this particular beer.

Clear amber pour. Strong aroma of whiskey upon first opening. Hint of vanilla taste and slightly hopier tasting than most offerings from Innis and Gunn. Another hit from a great Brewery though:)

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 onkelgobber (132) - Edinburgh, - JAN 30, 2013
Bottle from Appellation Wines Edinburgh. Pours dark amber with a smallish off white head with tiny bubbles. Aroma is typical Innis and Gunn with a lot of sweetness from the oak. Toffee, raisins and maybe honey. Not very strong though. Taste has a fairly clean mixture of the toffee sweetness and some hops dryness. It is reasonable well balanced, but not overly exciting. The 7% are fairly well hidden.
