Poured a dark copper with minimal head. Aroma is more of rum than whiskey, very sweet molasses. Body is quite weak in comparison, flavour is weak and sweet, a bit buttery toffee as well. A bit of a mess.

Bottle at the Deansoís monthly RB tasting, July 2013. Poured a deep mahogany with a frothy tan head. The aroma is rich sweet and alcoholic. The flavour is weak bitter, oaky, a little rich and with some sweetness on the palate. The whisky isnít overpowering. The texture is rather creamy too. Very drinkable. Not sure I could drink a lot of this stuff though,

Really well handled OA beer that doesnít rely on high abv to carry the palate. Chocolate shows peat and subtle cherry wood and itís all wrapped together with a pleasant creaminess.

This is a great beer. I had tried the others but couldnít find this one. It is a very smooth malty beer, with a dry hop finish. The part that sets this apart is the Irish Whiskey aging. The flavor really comes through and is evident in the nose. Find this one, it is their best.

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2013 Good beer, I liked the Innis and Gunn Rum better but that is probably because I prefer to drink rum. But anyways I recommend to try this beer. Very good.

Some oak aroma and taste. Clear dark red amber color. Pretty bland with little Irish Whiskey taste. Clear bottle tells me that they care more about marketing than beer quality.

Pour as part of a pairing at Vetri. Pours a cleanish amber with nice beige head and lace. Nose of oak, whiskey, vanilla, caramel and roasted malt. Medium body with a lot of whiskey barrel notes.
