I have loved every Innis & Gunn beer i have tried, but i do not like this one and it is no suprise. Stouts are my least favourite kind of beer, never really liked any, but i had to give this beer a try. It was way too sweet for my liking, and had too much of a whiskey after taste. I also do not like whiskey lol.

bottle. Deep brown with small head. Lots of flavor between the chocolate malt in the stout and the irish whiskey. A little woody smoke as well. Decent.

From the 330 ml. clear bottle. Most of the time I do not care for clear bottles but the Innis & Gunn series always look so classy. The pour is a very dark brown with reddish hues when held to the light. It has a long lasting tan head. The aroma is of dark roasted malts, a little smoke, and wood. The body is around medium. The taste is nice and sweet with a slightly roasted aura. I liked it but did not love it.

12 oz. bottle from the Beer Store, Nashua, NH. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, and slight whiskey aroma. Flavor is hints of whiskey, apple, roasted malt, coffee, vanilla. All flavors are fairly subtle. Medium to full body. The flavors are on the elegant side with nothing robust but it’s still decent over all. Not sure I would ever buy again but, it’s worth a try.

Bottle. Deep black looking like a Guinness. So verry and boozy and sweet. Interesting but not an everyday beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not what I was expecting. Very malty. Booze is faint. Some chocolate notes. Like a light black lager. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled from bottle, pours a fairly clear dark amber brown with a small head. Aroma brings out light notes of wood, moderate whiskey and some toasted nuts. Flavour is very similar, dominated by wood and whiskey. Actually has a fair amount of body and complexity. I would never have bothered with this, but was offered it at a social gathering and thought I may as well try - surprisingly good stuff. Must be one of the best Innis & Gunn beers out there.

Pours a nice dark brown/ black colour into the glass. Quite rich taste, however not overpowering. I would appreciate some more whiskey taste. Other tastes are chocolate and some hint of roasted coffee. Feels good in your mouth and should accompany some barbeque food or similar quite well.

Astonishingly subtle throughout with malty / whisky notes coming and going. Probably my favorite I&G

Bottle and Tap, the pour black, the aroma is roasty and woody, the flavour is pretty smooth and it was enjoyable and a decent stout.
