1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
I have loved every Innis & Gunn beer i have tried, but i do not like this one and it is no suprise. Stouts are my least favourite kind of beer, never really liked any, but i had to give this beer a try. It was way too sweet for my liking, and had too much of a whiskey after taste. I also do not like whiskey lol.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Standard oaky Innis &Gunn aroma on this beer. I’m not sure I could ever tell these kinds of beer apart. Maybe a little deeper in malt aroma. Appearance is a decent deep black. Quite bitter taste with a real whiskey finish. It could be the alcohol in the beer itself, but there is also a big alcohol taste from the whiskey barrel. Not a real great beer.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours dark brown, crystal clear with ruby highlights and a low tan head. Aroma light roasted malt, vanilla, some whiskey notes. Light in body, a little watery, medium carbonation. Flavor is light roasted malt, vanilla, whisky, some light coffee. Overall too thin and not roasty enough to be a stout.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Think this is the first stout that I have tried from this company. Dark and smooth with an unusual slightly smoked wooden taste. A good one that I would recommend.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle. Pours dark brown with some copper highlights, thick tan head decent lacing. Aromas of roast malt, oak, vanilla, cherry. Taste initially really leaves you wanting it?s quite flat. Roasted malts, more like burnt malt really... finish leaves a roasted taste in the mouth. To me this is a disappointing beer...

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
pours almost black with a fluffy light tan head. nice lacing and retention. Aroma is roasted malts, vanilla, oak, and some cherries. Taste is kind of watery, Roasted malt, some whiskey like character but not alot. A bit of oaky notes. mouthfeel lacking, flat and watery. Not the best innis and gunn out there.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Sample at Systembolaget tasting. Sweet smell with buttery note and some gele candy and similar sweets. Some whisky in the taste and hard roasted bread. Not very smooth. Feels unbalanced. Better then most other I&G beers but nothing for me.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very dark brown, if not black, with barely and head. Aroma is dominated by a sickly sweet almost cola note with fiery rye whiskey and oak, some raisin and roasted malt in present but almost hidden. Medium body and lightish palate for the style, with light carbonation. Immediate raisin and plum highlights are found when tasting, with oak and vanilla accents, some burnt malt and whiskey is also present.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
330ml bottle from Tesco. An opaque mahogany pour with a tight beige head; oaky vanilla aroma; smooth, creamy, stout-like body , with a fruity taste and lots of oak; leading to a dry vanilla finish with some warmth from the alcohol. A not very successful attempt at combining stout with whiskey cask.
