I have loved every Innis & Gunn beer i have tried, but i do not like this one and it is no suprise. Stouts are my least favourite kind of beer, never really liked any, but i had to give this beer a try. It was way too sweet for my liking, and had too much of a whiskey after taste. I also do not like whiskey lol.

Pours a two finger light tan head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Black color, no highlights. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Light roasted malt and whiskey nose, flavor is dark roasted malt, vanilla and very smooth. $3.60 for a 330ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, MA.

angelkostvo (1112) - CZECH REPUBLIC - JUN 7, 2016
Very dark brown colour, almost black, beige head. Aroma of oak, some roasted and toasted malts, slight notes of the irish whiskey. Taste is medium sweet, more flavourful than I expected. Light body, pretty thintexture, soft carbonation. You can feel the ABV.

Foerdifuxx (203) - Franconia, GERMANY - JUN 4, 2016
Deep brown coloured beer with a big, medium lasting, beige head. Aromas of irish whiskey, milk chocolate, wood, malt, floral and citrus hops. Taste is like drinking chocolate with an underlying pleasant whiskey touch, more wood towards the finish. The texture is silky-smooth, creamy. Soft carbonation, medium body. I love it!

330ml bottle from LCBO. Alc./Vol. 7.4% Pours an opaque dark brown colour with one finger of beige head which dissipates quickly. Aroma of roasted malts, Irish Whiskey, chocolate. Taste matches the aroma with some smokey notes. Moderate carbonation. One of the best I&G I’ve had so far. recommended.

YigSvartka (274) - Manitoba, CANADA - MAY 10, 2016
Opaque black ruby hue with a quickly dissipating beige head. Spectacularly pungent aroma with notes of caramel, chocolate, vanilla, whiskey, and oak, emphasizing sweetness. Robust smooth body. Splendidly sweet combination of caramel, roast, chocolate, vanilla, whiskey, oak, and syrup with a smooth, sweet finish. Quite nice, but perhaps slightly too sweet for my liking.

FatTony (188) - Augusta, Georgia, USA - APR 11, 2016
11.2 ounce bottle. Poured out a semi-translucent mahogany brown with a thin wheat head. Appearance was more of a porter than a stout. Whiskey was fairly strong in the aroma with the addition of malt and wood. Taste followed in almost the same proportions. The palate was thinner than most stouts but had a nice oily smoothness to it. Well done.
