2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
A 500 ml can from the LCBO
Read about this in the paper , thought why not, now I am just thinking why.
Nice enough lager , but nothing noteworthy.
Rather light , plain Jane ,but drinkable non the less.
Now who do I give the other can to ?

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 11/2015
Aroma is somewhat mild with buttery tones and grainy malt. Flavour has toffee typical to English ales, butter, grainy malt and mild grassy hoppiness. Also some minerals in the finish. Feels ’warm’. Easy to drink. A pale lager with English twist.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml can into English pint. Pours a clear golden straw with billowing (but quickly dissipating head) leaving lots of lacing. Minimal aroma, with some grain and maybe a bit of apple? Tastes alright; light, somewhat tart, somewhat sweet. Would be an acceptable session option, but I’ll remember to choose something different next time at the end of a long day.

Keg tap at Robert the Bruce (JDW), Du fries. Light yellow with a circle of white head. Grain/cereal aroma... nothing else gets through. Passable lager bitterness with a sugary corn syrup note. Not very good at all...

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
330 ml bottle. BBE Jan/16. (K-Citymarket) Tampere, Finland.
Clear golden colour with a mid-size white head.
Aroma of wood, dryness, malt and cheap hops.
The flavour is malt, some sweetness, mild hops and mild bitterness. Tastes like cheap lager. Not my favourite.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Looks the business and is a solid if completely unremarkable lager. I’m not a huge fan of Innis and Gunn’s other beers I’ve tried but one thing I’d say in their favour is that they’re distinctive. This is drinkable but it’s just a standard lager.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear golden, sparling lightly, thin but long white head. Malty, earthy feel, bit light herbs and floral notes, semisweet. Light body, low carbonation, soft feel, dry. Too thin and diluted for my taste.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled (from Ruokapuoti Lumo, Rauma). Golden colour, minor head, which disappears quickly. Aroma is wooden, floral, some fruity notes. Flavour is floral, herbal, wooden, grassy and some more wooden notes. Tastes a bit like most I&G beers would do without the barrel...
