A 500 ml can from the LCBO Read about this in the paper , thought why not, now I am just thinking why. Nice enough lager , but nothing noteworthy. Rather light , plain Jane ,but drinkable non the less. Now who do I give the other can to ?

One of my favourite brewers but this is a let down to be honest. Slightly above standard but that constitutes a failure by I&G usual high standards. Decent lacing and easy to drink though.

Clear yellow white light head. Aroma of hops and faintly sweet aroma. Light on the tongue sweet with floral notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a little darker than straw. No head, no lacing. Taste is overly sweet and boring. We have bread malts and slight grassy taste. A rare failure for Innis & Gunn.

can. Poured clear light gold with an initially large white head that settles. Sweet grainy hay aroma. Light-medium body, average carbonaton, tart finish. Flavour of light pale malt, fairly dry with spicy grassy hops. Not a complex as other Gunns I’ve tried.

I an G why did you put this in a can. It looks and taste very normal and ordinary. Reminds me of mondays. I dislike mondays.

Tall can from BC Liquor Store in North Burnaby. A pale amber yellow beer with voluminous white head, quickly collapsing. Faintly sweet nose. A very ordinary pale lager. No perceptible hop, and little malt evident. A perfectly ordinary summer swill, best served ice cold, so as to numb the palate. There are equally swillish pale lagers in tall cans for less money. 1.7.

Had it from the can, would have preferred to try it from the bottle since i have drank other Innis and Gunn beers from bottle. Its average lager with golden color. Would have liked to see bit more of carbonation, but it was average at best. Head was white and did not stick around for too long. Everything about this beer screams average, something you don’t expect from this company. Not disappointing, but not great either.

Pale yellow pour with a fairly tall fluffy white head. Some cereal notes, mild bitterness. Not very interesting.

Very good lager, extremely impressed - enjoy this one much more than the "oak-aged" beers Innis and Gunn is known for. Aroma is slightly piney without being off-putting, crisp and clear. The beer smells exceedingly fresh. Appearance, for a lager, is a rich gold - very attractive. Taste is complex (especially for a lager) - a mix of malt, oat-derived smoothness, hint of wheat tang and a solid yet not overpowering hop bite. Palate is smooth, refreshing, with a lingering bitterness. Overall, a fantastic choice, especially for the style. Really enjoyed this one.
