can. Poured clear light gold with an initially large white head that settles. Sweet grainy hay aroma. Light-medium body, average carbonaton, tart finish. Flavour of light pale malt, fairly dry with spicy grassy hops. Not a complex as other Gunns I’ve tried.

Bottle from Tesco; clear golden yellow pour with a thin cream white head, malt and light citrus aroma, clean tasting lager with some crisp citrus cutting through it.

Light golden colour, minimal head but a small white lacing. Smell is caramel, hay, oak, and malt. Taste is sweet and malty, with caramel and honey notes. Finishes slightly dry, refreshing. lacks depth or any distinct character, but is easily drinkable and pleasant enough for a warm summer day.

Pours a light amber with light carbonation and a light white head that quickly settles into a thin film leaving little lacing behind, Aromas are of vanilla, cereal in milk, and light biscuits. Tastes are of vanilla cookies, oats, sweet corn, digestive cookies. Overall, in a world of boring cardboard flavoured lagers, this one is a standout for me.

lesifflebiere (1255) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 22, 2014

Bottle. Crystal clear gold. A sweet buttery aroma, diacetyl. Sugary grainy sweet, a bit buttery not terrible but a lager with some off-flavor. Decent to sub-par.

Can - 500ml. Golden body with a thin, fading, white bubbly head. Light malty/hoppy aroma with some herbal and bready hints. Its malty taste carries hoppy, corn syrup, and flowery notes. Ends with a short bittersweet finish. Ordinary.

Lagerboy (1217) - British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 4, 2014
500 ml can. Clear paler golden yellow, lasting white firm foam. Muted aroma of sweet lager malt, some citrus. Taste is subdued pale lager malt, mild herbal hop, some citrus and a subtle rich sweet nuttiness from the oats. Softer carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. Clean and simple, a much higher quality palate cleanser than the typical mass produced industrial swill. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

Bottle Grains, honey, citrus, and malt. Difficult to tell, but light yellow, frothy white head. Taste is a little bitter with grains and malts. Pretty good for a lager.

One of my favourite brewers but this is a let down to be honest. Slightly above standard but that constitutes a failure by I&G usual high standards. Decent lacing and easy to drink though.
