3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Orange golden body, fine off-white head. Malty and slightly smokey aroma with strong toffee notes, a bit cloying. Sourish flavor with a hint of whiskey and a dry woodyness. Thin and sparkling mouthfeel. All right, but not very interesting.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Had this on tap in blackfriers, first time iv been in and what an excellent sellection they have. Bonus on this, was pouring so high the guy gave me a half for free. Aroma is minimal due to massive head, though turns into caramel malt. Taste is raw maltiness with a sweet fruitiness and a wet finish, nice but nothing to special.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Vanilla more pronounced than in its usual guise, keeps most of the characteristic malt flavour and has the smoked edge tempered. Like a decent mid-range malt whisky. Couldn’t drink too many but Innis and Gunn are to be applauded for their experimentation.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. The aroma of this copper coloured beer has whiskey, smokiness and woodiness. There is a hint of vanilla too. The taste is dominated by smoke almost to the extent of it being a smoked beer. There is some whisky flavours and a bit of very tart orange. Better than the standard I&G and really quite intriguingly different.
