1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle from Morrisons. Attractive orange with a white head, I tried this a few years ago when it first appeared and was quite impressed. Under Greene Kings stewaedship it has dived considerably. The barrel aged smokey/woodiness has almost gone, the carbonation is less smooth and ant evidence of hops ihas vanished. The remaining flavour is best described as toffee apple stewed iin diacetyl.!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a beer that has a nice golden colour which smells a bit oaky with notes of vanilla, mild whisky (but not peaty) and citrust. It tastes very much like it states on the bottle so initially slightly citrusy and malted hoppy taste which subsides to allow the slightly oaky whisky taste to come through before you get a nice toffee taste. This adds a sweetness that isn’t overly cloying or intense. Mouth feel is pretty standard for a bottled ale with moderate carbonation. All in all a very nice beer.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dobre i smaczne lekko dymne i torfowe, pewnie te aromaty sa za sprawa maturacji przez 77 dni w debowych beczkach po whisku. W smaku whisky slodowa wyraznie odczuwalna, kolorem takze przypominalo whisky. Z niewielka piana, troche mnie dziwilo zalecana dosc niska temperatura podania tego piwa. Tresciwe i rozgrzewajace piwo mimo niewielkiego procentu i udzialu alkoholu w tym szkockim piwie.

11.2oz bottle 12/7/13 (Binny’s Naperville-Part of Gift Set)-40° in Glass included in Gift Set-Pours a clear golden brown with a small white head. Aroma of oak, malt, and vanilla. Taste of the same with more oak, vanilla, and whisky. This medium bodied brew is well balanced with a lot of things going on. Nice job,.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aromas of hay, malt and some grass on a slightly vanilla-ish background. Not much head retention. On the palate i get an O.K. carbonation with a light body and some flavors that remind me of a cheap lager. Malty, slightly bitter, but with an oaky finish that reminds me of whisky in some ways. It’s kinda mellow, but i definately pick up some butterscotch/vanilla-flavors that comes from the oak maturation. Not too interesting, but not too bad either. Would not buy again tho.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear golden orange color with a small fluff of off white head. Aroma of slight smoke, oak, caramel, and vanilla. Taste of light citrus, followed by a wood/whiskey flavor, with hints of vanilla.

330ml bottle at home. Pours clear golden orange with a decent white head. Aromas of vanilla, toffee, butterscotch. Very sweet nose. Very sweet taste. Some woody smoke in the finish, but otherwise cloying and not entirely pleasant.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a brilliantly clear deep golden color with a huge bubbly off white head that slowly dissipates to a cap on top. Aromas of oak tannin and a hint of vanilla penetrate my nostrils as soon as I more the glass nearer to my face. Earthy almost apple pie spice with hints of caramel and mineral water round out the nose. Little to no hop aroma. The flavor is big on the fruits apple, pear and cinnamon initially. Light caramel and brown sugar gives way to oak tannin and vanilla. Little to no hop flavor or bitterness. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet light sugary mouthfeel. Not a bar beer per se, but not something I really enjoyed much.

Great after dinner/dessert beer. Probably awesome with an apple pie and vanilla Ice cream to bring out some of its natural flavours.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from the UK. Pours with weak to no head, nice golden to straw color with a clear body. No lacing. Aroma of light fruits, citrus, vanilla, oak. Flavor follows, slight smoke present, toffee and caramel present. A tad sweet, but a nice experience. Mouthfeel a bit flat, slightly sticky but with some acidity (think white wine). A fun beer even if not exquisite.
