""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

Deep gold and clear, weak head. Aroma: vanilla, wood, some spices. Taste: rather sweet, spicy, some wood and maltiness. Woody finish. Palate: medium to full body, crispy, some alco warmth. Overall too sweet for my taste, but drinkable.

An amber colour with almost no head. Nose is sweet and oaky. Taste is very sweet but enjoyable nonetheless. This beer is not very special in any way but worth a try.

Bottle Free pour. Bright orange hue with a small white head and sparse lacing. Nose is big vanilla lots of toffee. Sort of onew dimensional. Heat and vanilla flavors. Probably one else if the earliest oak beers but not great.

6.6%ABV. Scotch Ale. Tapped out Amber. 14ºSRM. Nose is sweet, beery and with an every so slightly smoky sweet barley malt nose. Very pleasant. Mouthfeel is watery soapy. Palate is sweet malty, with toasted barley malt, graham cracker, honey and caramel like flavors. There is not much carbonation. The palate is pleasant enough but when compared to my favourite scotch ale, Foiunder’s Dirty Bastard. This is is a well crated ale and my personal objections should in no way stop you from enjoying this very very good ale. Just a little light on the palate for me.

Tesco bottle. Reminded me a lot of Fuller’s Honey Dew, which I really didn’t like, but this was better balanced and overall better. Still very sweet honey taste. Claimed oak perhaps faintly perceptible in the nose.

Pours a bubbly clear amber with a tiny frothy head. Aroma is of light skunk, toffee, wood, and vanilla. Tastes of big toffee, wood, and vanilla. Has a smooth light body with high carbonation and a dry finish.
