""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

Nose is strongly vanilla, to the exclusion of other things, a little oak, slight caramel, toffee. Taste is some dry oakiness, leading to a very sweet middle and a toffee and vanilla finish with whiskey hints. The moutfheel is thin. The oak flavours in the beer are too subdued, and I suspect the use of vanilla flavourings; there is nothing of the base beer to be found. It’s a great shame, as oak aged should lead to a great beer rather than a glorified alco-pop.

Pours a crystal clear golden Amber with a light white head. Aroma of vanilla and burbon with a little banana. Taste is a mellow sweet honey vanilla with the burbon undertones. Very dry in the finish but smooth in the front. Excellent pale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

33 cl bottle, nice look, oak aged, hmmm. Honey color, clear, with a short thick white head, quiet nose. Aroma: tasty malts with fruity overtones, sugar and and woody notes, almost unnoticeable hops. Rich malty taste. Smooth texture almost oily, medium bodied, average carbonation. Nice "wet" malty finish, long, warming. Seems a strong lager but very tasty. Interesting.

A refreshing and pleasant candy beer. A lot of caramel with a fiizzy carbonation and a soft herbal finish.

Fiche technique Style: English Strong Ale Format: 330 ml Taux d?alcool : 6,6%

Bottle, 33cL. Home. A clear golden orange beer ; medium bubbly ; medium white foam with a medium retention. Aroma of caramel, vanilla, wood, herbs. Medium sweet, light to medium dry bitter. Medium body, thin oily texture, average to soft carbonation, sweet herbal finish. Overall, a good english ale : pleasant vanilla woody aroma, balanced, nevertheless a bit too sweet for my taste.
