""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

Small head with minimal lacing. Slight vanilla notes with strong whiskey taste that dominates the overall profile. Not enough hops to balance overpowering alcohol taste.

Damn. Pours a lovely copper with a nice white head that dissipates but sticks around. Wonderful and simple aromas: caramel, floral hops, and dough. Taste is nearly perfectly balanced, seriously. I should rate it a ten but... perfect taste? Palate is very pleasant with a nod to the bitter. A new favorite.

J’aime bien

On tap at the Wharf Rat in Fell's Point, Baltimore, MD. Clear amber with a thin near white head and sparse lacing. Aroma of honey, malt, oak, vanilla and coconut. Taste of caramel, coconut, banana, vanilla and oak. Medium body medium/low carbonization. I can see where this beer might have appeal, but this is just not my thing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

HopsandBolts (104) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 3, 2014
Appearance: Pours a clear deep copper colour with a couple fingers of white head that is gone in a flash. Aroma: Hardcore vanilla, malt, bread Flavours: Tons of vanilla, biscuit, hints of malt. Mouthfeel: Moderate carbonation. Overall: A pleasant beer but a bit on the sweet side and somewhat one dimensional. I like the idea of barrel aging but this beer needs a bit more malt and some other components. The vanilla flavours are a bit overpowering.

Bottle. Gold color. White medium head, which actually lasts. Aromas of honey, malt, vanilla. In flavor there is the same. Very sweet. Overall OK, but missing oak character.
