3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear amber-gold color with small white head, almost no lacing. Aroma is weak, some malty notes, little bit of vanilla and wooden notes. Taste is better, with some vanilla sweetness, hints of toffee and low bitterness. Itís nothing special, but I enjoyed it, becouse I have not drink this type british beer for a long time.

2.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ home. Aroma: Turpentine, toffee. Apperance: Pours clear light amber, quick gone light head. Taste: Round woody, toffee, finish with some sour fruityness. Overall: I just instantly liked the ?oakyness? of this beer and its cusins. It?s just like Coca Cola I can?t say why I like the taste.

Lots of vanilla up front and a boozy finish. Not something I would drink all night but still enjoyable. King can from LCBO

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
All thought a bit too sweet, I still feel like this beer is a nice combination a flavors I do enjoy. Itís just slightly over the top. My only gripes with this is the clear bottle. I agree that it is visually nice, but it does skunk up faster.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle into snifter, best before 4/2015. Pours slightly hazy bright orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, toffee, toasted bread, vanilla, oak, apple, plum, herbal, light pepper, and herbal/oaky earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, fruity yeast, and oak barrel notes; with good strength. Taste of caramel, toffee, toasted bread, vanilla, oak, apple, plum, herbal, light pepper, and herbal/oaky earthiness. Light herbal/oaky bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toffee, toasted bread, vanilla, apple, plum, oak, light pepper, and herbal/oaky earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity, balance, and solid robustness of dark/bready malt, fruity yeast, and oak barrel flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good oak aged Scottish ale style. All around good complexity, balance, and solid robustness of dark/bready malt, fruity yeast, and oak barrel flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. This is a bit lighter in body and flavor than the Rum barrel version, but is still nicely enjoyable.
