""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

Clear ligth amber colour (whisky) with white diminishing head. Weak aroma, soffly malty with oak tinges. Taste has soft maltiness, sweetness, vanilla notes and oak presence. Very low carbonation, almost unnoticeable. Soft and nice but too weak beer.

1.8.2014. Aroma has oak and toffee, also vanilla. Same in taste, first oak then toffee and oak again in finish, also fruity hops. Bitter, woody, stuffy. Good in small amounts.

750ml bottle bargain price from b and m pours nice golden colour with quickly dissapearting head lightly carbonated alcohol hidden a little to well doesn’t taste like a beer caramel honey and vanilla coming through. Quote Sweeney enjoyable but wouldn’t want more than 1 in night.

Pours a beautiful orange-amber with bone white head that dissipates with little trace. Big aroma of toffee, oak, vanilla and a hint of honey and alcohol. Taste is sweet malt with a bit of citrus hops, and slight whiskey note, but is not as big as the aroma. Body is light and smooth. The selling points here are the color and nose. The palate isn’t that complex, though the manageable alcohol makes it sessionable.

Pours a clears pale copper topped by a finger or so of fizzy white head showing minimal retention and lacing properties. The nose is awesome, and this might be the BBQ fan speaking, but there are tons of oak paired with a nice nutty malt feature. The taste is also dominated by oak and nutty malts with some buttery notes. You get some fine, as in small, carbonation through a low to medium body. As the brew expands, the oak stays but the hops rise up with a grassy element. That beer surprised me, and might deliver the best oak flavour I have had since I review beers. Cheers!

Light copper pour with an off-white head. Aroma is malt, biscuit. Taste is a solid malt body, little dry in the finish. Does have a slight vanilla flavor. OK beer.
