""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

Aroma is of oak and malts. Taste is of malts, oak, vanilla, and toffee. A smooth, easy drinking beer but not a favorite.

DAA; Pours clear amber with a fast deminishing off-white head. Aroma is malt, honey, oak and light citrus. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with spicy notes. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Sorry I just did not like this beer. The oak is far too strong, tastes like cold liquid toast!

Sweet malty initial flavor. Vanilla and toffee notes at the first taste with no after taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Bottle @ Scotland. Pours a light orange color, which is no surprise, because the color was visible through the bottle. Nice ale with a real oak finish. Nice for a change.

Tried bottles from Systembolaget on a number of occasions. Nowdays i have a hard time with all these beers, there’s a weird butterscotch aroma to them which is really hard to shake. With that said, this is a decent ale, it’s very popular with my non-ale drinking friends.

Bottle. Pours cloudy orange with white head. Aroma of malty sweetness and oak. Mild. Taste is sweet, wood, malty, almost pissy.

Draught @ The Headline. Pale amber, foamy off white head. Woody, fruity, perfume, whiskey notes in the aroma. Flavour is more fruity, floral notes, some whiskey, a touch artificial. Light body, soft carbonation. Oak, light whiskey finish.

Pours an odd cranberry orange with little head and no lacing. Aromas of honey and bourbon. Tastes sweet, almost too sweet, with hints of honeysuckle coupled with strong liquor. I usually love barrel-aged beers, but this one’s not that great.

Fin gyllenbrun färg. Doftar och smakar smörkola. För söt för min smak dock.
