""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

Bottle - pours light amber with a fizzy off white head which fairly quickly fades to a ring. Aroma is light vanilla, caramel, alcohol, orange, honey. BA transfer Poured from bottle into tulip Innis and Gunn glass. Part of the holiday 2011 Holiday Sampler. Appearance – orangy-copper color with large head upon pouring. Large bubbles composed the head which faded rather fast leaving very little of its original presence. Smell – Get massive amount of sweet toffee with a good serving of oak in there as well, which lingers in the nose. Taste – Sweet toffee/caramel meet the tongue initially with a nice vanilla and oak flavor developing at the end of the tasting, leaving a very pleasant taste in the mouth. Mouthfeel – A little low on the carbonation, but having a nice overall turbidity for the Abv and style. Overall – This is a very nice beer. A very tasty beer. Better then the Christmas ale they make and on par with the Rum Cask Oak aged beer. A must try.

Scent of caramel, orange, and toast. Clear amber colour. Flavour of oak, butterscotch, apricot, and cinnamon. Primarily sweet with mild bitterness. Enjoyable, and definitely one of the most different tasting beers I’ve tasted.

330ml bottle. Amber smooth beer with limited head. A strong flavoursome beer. Great aroma - hints of toffee, vanilla and oak. Pleasant taste at first but becomes slightly sickening and difficult to drink by the end so you’d never follow it up with a 2nd one.

Bottle from tesco. Amber beer, with a frothy white short lived head. Sweet smells of toffee and honey. Taste is sweet with honey and slightly bitter. Ruined slightly by the over carbonation, also very thin bodied considering its strength.
