""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

Very fruity with lots of vanilla and toffee. Fruits take over a bit too much and the aftertaste has an unpleasant soapy flavor to it. Different.

Bottle...Pours the colour of dark honey. Very little head or lacing. First things first, the wood flavour is deep and well rounded. It was like I was right inside the wood, maybe thatís crazy ;) Once your passed the wood you get dark fruits and caramelized malts.

Dark transparent gold, weak white head. Very interesting arome - is that toffee? Unlike any beer Iíve ever tasted - but lovely nonetheless. Malty yet light taste - and thereís no way in hell I would have guessed how strong it is. Just lovely.

Tasting at Plonk. Tastes like Chardonnay! Oak and vanilla flavours surprisingly strong. Iíve never had a beer like this and was astonished. Not sure the balance is there though.

Pours a hazy dark caramel color with a light head. Aroma is lots of toffee, caramel, vanilla and oak. Very nice there. Flavor is not nearly as sweet as I expected. It still has a lot of sweetness, caramel and toffee in there and oakiness, but some hop character coming through, which was totally unexpected, but not unwelcome.
