""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

Thanks to a friend who split this bottle with me. We poured it into snifters and were greeted with a slight white head that sat on top of the most awesome caramel honey colored brew I have seen in a while. The whisky aroma was well present in the nose. I also got some nice woodiness and a slight fruit aromas as well. The flavor was good I got a little caramel sweetness from the malts and the barrel aging worked well with it. Hints of vanilla and some smoke came thru as it warmed. A good brew I have had it in my hands a few time and never pulled the plug on buying it. I will the next time I see it though.

33cl bottle. Clear golden colour with almost no head. Oak, malts and caramel in the aroma. Average carbonation and light body. Taste is more sweet than bitter with some liquor notes. Overall, not bad but boring beer.

Very fruity with lots of vanilla and toffee. Fruits take over a bit too much and the aftertaste has an unpleasant soapy flavor to it. Different.

Unique flavor from the 30 days of being seasoned in Oak Barrels. Highly recommend for smooth taste.

Bottle...Pours the colour of dark honey. Very little head or lacing. First things first, the wood flavour is deep and well rounded. It was like I was right inside the wood, maybe that’s crazy ;) Once your passed the wood you get dark fruits and caramelized malts.

Dark transparent gold, weak white head. Very interesting arome - is that toffee? Unlike any beer I’ve ever tasted - but lovely nonetheless. Malty yet light taste - and there’s no way in hell I would have guessed how strong it is. Just lovely.

Absolutely the best beer I’ve ever tasted. It’s like a slice of heaven poured into a bottle.

Tasting at Plonk. Tastes like Chardonnay! Oak and vanilla flavours surprisingly strong. I’ve never had a beer like this and was astonished. Not sure the balance is there though.
