[ Trade by cgarvieuk ]. Clear medium amber color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light vanilla, prune, dried light berrys, light wood, rum notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100417]

Bottled. A deep red beer with a bubbly and lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of caramel, rum, and wood, and is very powerful - but not a favorite of mine. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, rum, alcohol, and wood, leading to a sweet and lightly woody finish. OK, but not as good as I had hoped for.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a clear deep amber golden with a dense and creamy beige head leaving laces. Distinct aroma of wood and rum. Medium-bodied, very sweet - almost sticky - caramel. Distinct rum notes and an absolutely absent bitterness. Starts well but ends so-so. 210908

33 cL bottle, courtesy of joergen. Pours clear and golden deep amber to hazzlenut brown with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and breadish. Roasted caramelish, slight fruity and vague liqourice touch. Lingering roasted and slight fruity finish.

Bottled (thanks omhper!). Dark amber colour with small beige head. Aroma is rum, oak and some sweet malts. Flavour is wooden, rummy and has some hints of vanilla and mild spicing. big time wooden barrel aftertaste.

<i<Bottled. Nut brown, creamy head. Potent woody rhum aroma. Sweet with rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Fruity with lots of vanilla and some sugar. The barrel flavour dominates the beer, which is probably good as I’m not fond of the base beer. Finishes with powerful rhum flavour rather than bitterness.

Sweet aroma of caramel, oak and vanilla with notes of butterscotsch.
Sweet flavour of caramel, oak and vanilla with notes of fruits and hops.
Sweet finish.

Bottle, 7.4%. Mild vanilla aroma, also quite vinous. Clear dark brown colour. Small stable off-white head. The flavour has a lot of vanilla, even a bit like coconut. Finishes drier, also vinous.

Beautiful dark amber color. Nice mix of caramel, vanilla and rum aroma. Medium body, some sweet malt flavor, and a quite evident Bourbon-Rum touch. Very pleasant.
