2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl bottle at home. It pours a dark ruby colour with a white head that rapidly disappears. Aroma is a little skunky with vanilla, oak and some dark fruits. Taste is also dark fruits, rum, lots of toffee notes, caramel malts and starts with a little bitter taste and finishes with a sweet aftertaste. Its carbonation is average and itís light bodied with a dry finish. The beer is not that special or phenomenal, but its taste is interesting and itís very drinkable.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smells of liquorice, alcohol and dark wood. Nice dark brown, the taste contains of nuts, toffee and some liquorice. The liquorice is there in the aftertaste as well. Nice and fizzy mouthfeel. A bit too alcohol-intensive?

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Great aroma of vanilla and malts, with a good looking amber color. On the taste, the rum notes do come through. Typically, beers that involve alcohol barrels are heavier and those that have a mild mouthfeel are poor. This beer is light and for some reason it works with the delicate notes of the rum. Overall, the beer is not phenomenal, but above average and a bit unique with the rum notes.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a copper, clear brown lace, with an off white head that does not hold for too long. Smell of fruits, nuts, caramel, vanilla and certainly some oak, though I canít detect the rum. A bit watery body, but good palate. Taste of woods, vanilla, some rum here, fruits. Good. Maybe not to bold for my taste, but thatís just my taste.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours dark, clear brown with a tiny, short lasting, off white head. Aroma has toasted banana-fruity caramel malts with a hint of roast. A slight, dry oak, and some sweet, boozy rum. Taste has more toasted, and less roasted malts, caramel, fudgy and syruppy sweetness, a hint of licorice, and again this hint of sweet rum and oak. Slightly watery, but not too bad!

Taste of sweet and ripe fruits, caramel malts, sweet biscuit and just a touch of oak. Very drinkable and quite enjoyable.
