2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours with a nice dark amber color, with a slight beige head that quickly fades away. Has an aroma of hops, caramel and a little hint of rum. Tastes sweet of caramel with a small hint of rum. I think it needs a little more bittering hops to compensate for the sweetness. As it leaves the mouth with almost nothing.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. 6.8%. Best before 12.12.13. As íInnis & Gunn Rum Finishí. Pours a clear golden amber with a light tan head. No lacing. Aroma has a strong blue cheese note (!) on a malty background. It sort of works, if not for the fact that I canít stand blue cheese. As it warms, the blue cheese note subsides a bit though, and notes of fruit and wood appear. Flavour has the same blue cheese note, as well as fruity, malty and wooden notes. As it warms, a light perfumy note appears, as well as a remote cardboard note. Finish is blue cheese, malt and wood as well. Overall not that good; I can see how the blue cheese note can work if you like that sort of thing, but itís really not for me, and overall the beer also feels cloying. Also, no rum?! 31.10.13.

Flaske 33 cl i Helsingør
Flot Rødbrun farve med lækkert skum
Smagen er frugt og en hel del rom, karamel og malt. En god øl til kød retter hvis man ikke er så meget til vin

Dark beer that is aged right. The taste touches your taste buds and it stays there for awhile. If you have never tried this beer it is certainly worth a try and worth the money.

Great mix of beer and rum flavors, sweet and hot aroma, very drinkable and matches so well with spicy food.
For cap collectors: white and gold Innis and Gunn cap, with "Oak aged beer" written.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a rich dark caramel color with a finger of eggshell foam. Aromas are molasses , spicy oak, toasted vanilla barrel notes but very sweet. The palate follows with a watered down rum and coke flavor.... cola nut, sugary caramel, a touch of rum spice. Slightly sticky on the finish with a weird artificial sweetener note lingering in the palate.
