3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear, dark ruby amber with a small head that drops quickly to the rim, no lace. Taste is strong malt, but it doesn’t last long enough to enjoy, being replaced by strong overtones of rum. Minimal bittering at the finish. A good one for sipping, but it seems to be drifting away from the designation of "beer," and into some stronger brew.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma - very sweet, treacle, brown sugar, slight burnt caramel, vanilla, sticky toffee pudding, hint of spice, cinnamon. Taste - starts with the sweetness of the aroma. demerera rum flavour comes through, not too sweet and goes slightly dry at the back. Well crafted beer that is dominated by sweetness and would suit being mainly paired with desserts but on its own its moreish and I really like it!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a dark amber color with a velvety head that dispates leaving no lacing. Aromas of sweet fruit and malt. Flavors of vanilla, malt, sweet fruits (grapes, currants, and apple), very complex flavors. Not a bad beer, different from my norm.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
11.2 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a darker amber color with a beige head of velvety foam. The aroma has notes of brown sugar, molasses, and dark fruits. The taste is dark sweet sugars and candied fruits. Mellow finish. The wood doesn’t come through quite as nicely as it does in the base beer, but overall, it’s a more enjoyable beer. The flavors are more melded.
