Ingredients: Golden Promise and Crystal malt; Phoenix hops.
We are delighted to present this unique limited bottling of Innis & Gunn finished in oak barrels which previously contained navy rum. Maturation in special oak barrels imparts Navy rums with the sweet, spicy character for which they are renowned. We have long wondered what flavours might be imparted to our beer by finishing it in these same barrels and earlier this year we decided to find out. We brewed a special batch of Innis & Gunn beer and matured it in oak for 60 days. Every single drop spent half of that time in American oak barrels before being refilled into selected navy rum barrels to finish the lengthy maturation. Once the beer had absorbed the unique character the barrels were emptied, the beer blended and then maturation continued for a further 47 days until all of the flavours had married together and mellowed. We think the result is absolutely delicious!

Bottle, 33cl. Pours rubinred amber coliyur with slight beige, medium airy head. Caramel, sweetish oak based rum aroma spiced with vanilla and clove. Flavour follows the nose with the latter being more sweetly dominant. Bitter, hay, malts, breads, little bourbon whisky in the after-taste and finish. Creamy, medium-full bodied with soft to average carbonation. Little alcohol mouth-feel as well.

Bottle into an ale glass. Pour is a amber brown with a thick co2 sticking to the glass. Aroma is sweet and thick, full of notes of vanilla and okay it was aged in and rum. Taste is smooth with a hint of the barrels the rum vanilla the malt all blends together with a slight bitterness. Finish is crisp and clean with a hint of rum that holds on. This is a great ale.

Bottle poured into mug. Pours amber brown in color with a medium off white head. Great carmel sweetness, rich body, you can taste hints of the fruity rum in the oakey finish. One of my favorite beers in a long time.

Fine tasty stronger beer. Went down nice and easy. Reminiscent of some of the Belgian brews.

A little sharper than the original, and therefore fuller, but not as nice. However, this is still an amazing beer from a brewer whom basically make beer the way I like it! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

6,8% ABV. Orange amber, thin to medium beige head. Nose is vanilla, rum, caramel, oak, malt. Flavour is pretty similar to the nose, but with more sweetness and vanilla-oak notes. Thin to medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation.

Härlig bärnstensfärgad öl med söt rom avrundning. Trevlig beska men ändå ganska söt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Dark brown with a weak white head. Aromas of caramel and cherries. Lots of sticky caramel flavor with a slight woody cherry finish.
