Originally brewed at Belhaven for Innis & Gunn. Production moved to Wellpark - date unknown.
NOTE: This is the same beer as the Oak Aged Beer Rum Finish. According to Innis & Gunn "they are the same beer, the process changed slightly so we changed the name. But the recipe is the same."

Ingredients: Golden Promise and Crystal malt; Phoenix hops.
We are delighted to present this unique limited bottling of Innis & Gunn finished in oak barrels which previously contained navy rum. Maturation in special oak barrels imparts Navy rums with the sweet, spicy character for which they are renowned. We have long wondered what flavours might be imparted to our beer by finishing it in these same barrels and earlier this year we decided to find out. We brewed a special batch of Innis & Gunn beer and matured it in oak for 60 days. Every single drop spent half of that time in American oak barrels before being refilled into selected navy rum barrels to finish the lengthy maturation. Once the beer had absorbed the unique character the barrels were emptied, the beer blended and then maturation continued for a further 47 days until all of the flavours had married together and mellowed. We think the result is absolutely delicious!

0.33L bottle. Rum essence and caramel aroma. Clear brown color with small hat on top. Toffee, bread, wood, light whiskey, some spice flavors. Not for me.

Not a great amber, quite boring. Pours a nice clear amber with a thin white head. Not much of any smell, a bit fruity. Taste is boring, a bit of malt and a bit of rum, with a malt liquor finish. Had in the bottle.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2015 Lots of clear aromas. Rum twist works perfectly with beers own aroma. Smooth taste for strong beer. One if the better ones for me.

Bottle- pours a copper red in color with medium foam head. Nose, taste and finish are all influenced with traditional rum tastes that offer a nice balance to the bitterness and hops of the beer.

Bottle. Deep red color with medium white head. Aroma of burnt wood, caramel, spice, rum. Interesting. In flavor rum, dates, caramel and some unusual, but not unpleasant bitterness. Rum is also present in aftertaste. I like this beer, would buy again.

Dark golden in colour, with little to no head. Taste of honey, caramel, toffee, citrus, and sweet grass. Full bodied and fizzy, with a long finish

Pours copper color with rich and lasting head, good lacing. Aroma of oak barrel, bourbon whiskey, dark rum and caramel malt. Taste similar. Bice rum notes in aftertaste. There is not much beer in this brew, but it is very good anyway.
