3.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle from Systembolaget. Small, short lasting beige head. Reddish brown clear body. Aroma is dominated by barley malt and caramel. Palate is creamy, and the taste of rum is definitely present.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Got this in a special holiday pack from LCBO along with the original cask beer and IPA beer and a innis gunn glass. The beer pours a dark brown with a light brownish head, very foamy. There is a caramel and coffee smell to it. You can taste the rum in this, and reminds me of Lambs navy rum, a dark strong rum I have tried. Strong beer, smooth.

4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: APR 29, 2012 First tasted at home on a fine winter night, February 2012. I was very impressed by the brewing process and was excited by the wonderful scent of rum. Unfortunately, the presentation is best quality and it fell short of my high expectations. Unfair maybe since rum is my favorite liquor. It does have a warming palate and tastes of toffee and the rum barrel. I will drink it again before deciding if it is a favorite.

Dark red/brown with little head. Almost no carbonation. Smell and taste the rum cask, but not overpowering. Some dark fruits also. Birthday beer from Stan #1. 071112

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Probably the most enjoyable beer I have had under this label. I remember it leaned on the sweeter side but was overall quite pleasant.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a dark amber color with a velvety head that dispates leaving no lacing. Aromas of sweet fruit and malt. Flavors of vanilla, malt, sweet fruits (grapes, currants, and apple), very complex flavors. Not a bad beer, different from my norm.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2012 grass, citrus, butterscotch, caramel, chocolate, alcohol, red, brown, clear, minimal head, tan foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, umami, light body, slick feel, soft carbonation, astringent, bitter, long finish,
Really nice ruby pour with quick rising tan foam. Aromas of grass, citrus, sweet caramel/butterscotch and dark cocoa. Lightly carbonated with predominantly sweet flavour with a light bitterness, and definite alcohol heat. Although thin bodied, has a slickness that lasts on the tongue. Astringent and mildly bitter that lingers on. You can definitely taste the dark rum character. Nicely balanced beer!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Searched for this one, saw the Spiced rum finish, aged 47 days. saw the rum cask, aged 102 days... this is the Rum Finish, Aged for 57 Days.
Clear bottle, yay, but that is their norm. Pours an amber color with about a finger of head. it is nice...
Nose is odd. I get the crappy Innis and Gunn beer nose, but then the soft and actually quite nice oaky rum nose. it is not an over powering rum nose, and it is not an over powering oak nose, but it is a nice blend of the two... now, if they could get rid of the crappy underlying beer nose.
Taste is much the same as the nose. i get the crappy underlying beer... then i get the nice smooth oaky rum. It finishes quite nice. VERY nice actually. But the regular innis and gunn is there, and I can taste it. This is the best Innis and Gunn I have ever had though. I have had the Canada whiskey version as well, and this one is quite better. The rum is subtle and the oak is smooth, and they blend quite well.
Mouthfeel is the same as all the other versions.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
All sorts of darkness going on here. Rum raisin treacle toffee and a touch of vanilla. You can almost chew this beer. Want more.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Soft aroma of rum and raisin with a deep amber colour. Minimal head. Heavy immediate taste of rum and heavy malt. A thin consistency with a mellow aftertaste. Soft carbonation. Quite complex with many nuances of taste. Overall not my favorite Innis and Gunn (I prefer the 77 or 71 day) but a worthy addition to their oeuvre.
