3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Ok, this one didn’t come in the box... in fact, was a B1G1 at Consumers, but hey, I’m always looking for a bargain, so I grabbed 4 bottles, knowing it was a deal. I was just a tad bit disappointed with the first bottle. The flavor was nice, the pour was dark... I just, I don’t know... expected more. Maybe I’ve been drinking too many heavier Belgians... this just seemed kind of lacking. But I really think that’s just where my palate is right now and not the quality of the beer. I look forward to enjoying the rest of my bargain.

UPDATED: FEB 6, 2016 Bottle.Clear copper, head disappears momentarily with a hiss, disappointing.Aroma sweetish, fruity, slightly malty and spicy,a touch of rum,a tiniest whiff of vanilla.Taste less thick than expected ,carbonation too high at first, bitterness not perceivable, but that is not a problem.Aftertaste fruity, nutty, some rum, malts.I expected more from this beer. That is not to say this is bad stuff, just less than what I hoped for.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Mahogany body, small white head. Aroma has huge sugary butterness, rum ia present and some caramel behind the first scent. Flavour turns nutty and buttery with rum notes all over. Underlying there is layer of fruitiness. Warming and really much different things going on in the beer. Not sure if I like em all.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. A quid, from the local offy. Clear, dark copper colour. Messy, thin, pale tan head. Toffee malts. Mint rock. Vine fruits. Taste is sugary sweet. Some nasty, burnt sugar bitterness. Claggy mouthfeel. Artificial sweetener on the finish. Interesting to note the rating disparity with these beers. I’m in the, "I’m glad I only paid a quid" category.

~ Even this Innis&Gunn is a disappointment. According the deScription it is the sweet and spicy taste that does it’s finish and by that does it popular. But the sweet taste is what does my low grade on this Innis&Gunn., othervise it has bin middle-okey

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark amber/light brown. High and stable beige head. Aroma vanilla, oak wood and strong herbal finish. Palate watery, carbonation high but quickly dissipates. Taste unfolds slowly. Begins with honey and chocolate and lends itself to a rum body. Nicest part on this is aftertaste - coconut, vanilla, banana and light hoppy finish. Definitely rum-a-like. Interesting beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice almost ruby in colour. The rum certainly comes through in the taste. Very little aroma and very clean finish. A personal favourite.

Very little aroma, some vanillins. Brilliantly clear dark copper, white head with fine bubbles. Medium sweetness, low bitterness, with the rum definitely coming through. Full mouthfeel, with the fine bubbles contributing as well. Finish is medium dry and clean.
