Deeply brilliant woods – like those one finds in a centuries old gentleman’s club in the storied cobbled streets of London – cherry and mahogany. A thick tan head fades into a carefree bubbly collar bordering a thin puddle resting in the middle.
Nose:
Dark fruits explode from the mahogany and cherry depths below with raisins, dates, prunes, and figs covered in sticky saucy black strap molasses. Black root and black licorice root in the raw. Plump earthen leathery spicy grapes. Cooked and cooled raw demerara sugars.
Palate:
Sweet, rich, dense, mysterious, and a bit roguish. Burnt demerara sugars and unfettered black strap molasses and the finest dark aged rum one could hope to savor. Burnt brown sugar and molasses hard candies. Intriguing addition of red licorice in the back of each swallow. Swimming amidst it all are meaty raisins, figs, and dates. Eyes closed – a fine rummy dram. Eyes open – a fine Scottish pint.
Final Thoughts:
Wonderful. Sweet suppable perfection in my glass. Innis & Gunn can play around with as many barrel/wood aged varieties as their heart desires. In return, I shall aspire to drink as many as possible because I can and I want to.

Bottle thanks to Jcwattsrugger. Pours reddish amber with off white head ring. Nose and taste of light rum, oak, brown sugar, caramel toffee and light butterscotch. Medium body.

Bottle. Amber pour tan head. Aroma is oak and vanilla. Flavor is light caramel and oak with a hint of rum. Very low carbonation. Light body. Thin palate.

Faint caramel and vanilla aroma. Overwhelming butterscotch taste. Rum finish? Well, there is lots of vanilla in the aftertaste.

To me this is barely classifies as beer.. If you’re a fan of aroma-beer, try it.
I’m just not a fan of putting foreign stuff into a brew and I swear by "Reinheitsgebot". I love my hops and my malt. Don’t try to make my beer taste like candy, lemonade, fruit or in this case rum. The head vanishes within seconds, the color is more like a watered down cola and the taste - well that’s always a personal matter, but it does taste of rum. I couldn’t finish the bottle.

Flaska från Systembolaget. Klar mörkt kopparfärgad vätska med lågt avslaget skum. Doft av härsket fett och godis. Smak av tuggumi, typ Bugg. Mjuk munkänsla. Kort eftersmak.

bottle. Pours dark amber with medium head. nose has brown sugar and rum. taste is sweet malty with a significant rum signature and bitternes in the aftertaste. maybe a bit watery though.

Love this beer. The rum finish brings a subtle sweetness and mellowness to the beer that well compliments the oak aged beer. Great session beer, and if you prefer nice malts over bitter hops, a definite hit.

330ml bottle@home. Mahogany body with some particles and a big light beige head. Sweet notes of vanilla and caramel, wood, bacon and ham to the nose. The taste is also quite sweet and also here vanilla is what first comes to mind, then cola, brown sugar, wood, pepper and prunes. I actually think it’s a tad too sweet and I also have to admit, I’m not a big rum lover...

Taste has hints of fruityness and caramel. A slightly bitter aftertaste of rum. A bit sweet, although not overpowering. Would have liked this to have a slightly more full body. Overall, its a good beer, but not better than the oak och whisky cask edition in my opinion.

Cerveza con curioso sabor a tofe, suave a la vez que con cuerpo. Con la graduacion suficiente para disfrutarla y a la vez dulce para que no amargue. Mi favorita
