3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - Bull Run (Thomasville Rd) - 12 oz bottle. Pours a sparkling medium copper with a thin off-white colored head, very light lacing. Faint trace of vanilla and cherries in the aroma, a hint of oak. Flavor has some light butterscotch, a hint of vanilla, some biscotti-like malty notes a hint of toffee sweetness. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Not a bad novelty.

Bottle. Vanilla and spice aroma - smells a bit like coca-cola. Pours a dark copper/brownish colour with thin light brown head. Spice, vanilla and toffee flavours. Slick and oily palate. Sweet malt finish. Enjoyable brew.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle pours almost black in color with a finger of off-white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is chocolate with some herbal and spicy notes. Taste is a chocolate malty sweetness with a grassy and spicy hop bitterness with an interesting herbal finish. Medium bodied with decent carbonation. Overall, an interesting brew that suits the style well with a nice balance of flavours. Recommended.

Light rum spice on the aroma . Flavour and mouthfeel are both buttery, which is unusual.

Znalazłem to piwo w angielskim Tesco i nie rozumiem czemu nie zrobiłem wpisu. Z tego co pamiętam piwo było całkiem przyzwoite i świetnie zbalansowane. Posmak alkoholu faktycznie przypominał nuty palonego karmelu i drewna. Jedno z lepszych piw dostępnych w tej sieciowce.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into the Innis and Gunn tulip.
The appearance was a nice hazy brown color with some light red tinges around the edges of the glass. There was a decent one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a million. There was a moderate amount of white foamy lacing trickling down the glass.
The smell had a nice toasted oaky vanilla to glaze over top of a light rum.
The taste was sweet and oaky along with the rum but not in an overly boozy way.
On the palate, this one sat right at medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionable aspect about it. The carbonation was pretty smooth.
Overall, this was a pretty good beer worthy of coming back to.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Golden amber with an off white foam. Aromas are toffee and marzipan with vanilla. Spicy with dark rum and lots of booze. Honey and lemon with burnt rubber. Flavours are sweet caramel and vanilla with bitter lemon and rum syrup. Nutty alcohol with spices. Industrial and a bit rough. Still one of the better Innis & Gunns.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at the Yellow Springs Street Fest Craft Beer Garden, served in a plastic cup. Really weird offering; other options were a few Abita, some Crispin ciders. Not sure how they came up with this lineup. Anyway, this one pours a mostly clear, rich amber color with a small off-white head that lasts for a while after an initial fizz. Notes of toffee, brown sugar, toasted nuts, and vanilla, though it all seems a bit restrained in the flavor, which has an unfortunate watered down, slightly earthy quality that saps the energy rather than balances the beer. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation. A bit disappointing.
