3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle - A deep red amber with very little head. Aroma is light, sweet fruit with some wood and vanilla. Taste is very light spice with a medium rum sweetness and a woody malt touch. As usual with Innis and Gun, a syrupy palate, and sweetness at the end. Not too bad, but not my favourite I&G by any stretch of the imagination.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Liquide cuivré, clair et sans trop d’effervescence. Arôme du Spiced rhum présent mais pas agressant. Manque le caractère boisé d’une oak aged. Sucre résiduel correspondant à une Scotch Ale. Plaisante.

0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Poured great, nice color, lacing and head. However don’t judge a book by it’s cover. After 2 sips of this monkey piss I poured the rest down the sink. Way to alcohol infused. This is only the second beer I could not finish. I would take a michelob ULTRA over this crap anyday!

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear copper with small white head quickly amounting to a small ring around the glass. Aromas of toffee, oak, spiced rum, dried fruits, and a definite sweetness. Flavours of toffee, spiced rum, stronger sweet spiced rum than aroma, booze. Smooth for a high alcohol beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330 ml bottle. 12124. BB May 2013. (Alko) Helsinki, Finland.
Clear dark mahogany colour with tiny off-white head.
Sweet malt, molasses, dark dried fruits, brown sugar and mild alcohol (maybe rum) in aroma.
Flavour is rather nice with alcohol, dark fried fruits, molasses, sweet malt and woody dryness. Drinkable.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a nice golden colour but no head to speak of. Starts off with a great spicy rum taste combined with hops but dissipates too early, and wish it was stronger.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The fact that it was brewed in rum infused oak barrels is evident in both aroma and taste. It goes down smooth and has no lingering aftertaste

The beer pours a red-hued gold colour with a short-lived head which disappears in seconds. Aroma is caramel, rum, wood, and light fruits. No spiciness that I can discern. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is wood, caramel, some rum, and some metallic notes. Nothing outstanding!

Very smooth beer. I don’t taste the rum flavor, but there is hint of toffee.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle. As with all I&G beers, this one looks stunningly appetizing in its clear bottle - red-orange elixir (Lovibond 8) beckoning me to pour it into my I&G glass. I'm weak, so I pour it smoothly to produce an adequate but quickly dissipating white head. Leaves an effervescent lacing. Aromas of cotton candy and vanilla waft up. Much nicer smell than most Innis & Gunns. I don't really taste the 'spiced rum' but what I do taste is fantastic: maltiness balanced with oaky and smoky notes. Vanilla and toffee, obviously. Sweeter than other I&G offerings but I thinkers balanced as well. One of their better beers! Worth getting again!
