This limited bottling of Innis & Gunn has been finished over oak infused with Caribbean Spiced Rum. The result is absolutely delicious, bursting with the flavours of Caribbean spices along with our signature notes of vanilla, toffee and oak.

It pours copper with hay-coloured highlights; the head is off-white and soapy. The aroma has notes of: caramel, popcorn, sweet grains, and vanilla. The taste is medium sweet that finishes light dry; there are notes of: popcorn, toffee, faint cinnamon, and slight molasses. The palate is medium-light bodied, has medium carbonation, and a medium finish. Overall, just another Innis/Gunn product with very minor variants to the original (dismal).

Bottle. Clear red-amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of rum, coconut, vanilla, demerara sugar, a hint of oak. Medium bodied, clean on the palate. Flavour follows the aroma pretty closely, with all of the same elements, along with a slight tingle of cinnamon & nutmeg. Finish is quite long, with a nice dry woodiness, and a rum & coke booziness that wraps things up nicely.

Clear amber beer, tidy pale cream coloured head. Smooth palate, a little soft. Mild minerally carbonation. Fresh malt cream with a trace of wood. Not really getting much rum. Mild citrus. It’s inoffensive but overall a bit of a disappointment.

Bottle. Amber color. 7.4% on the label. Toffee, vanilla and rhum in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with with toffee, rhum and vanilla. Just a bit of wood, but rhum dominates. Sweet, sticky, alcoholic, but mellow and well rounded.

Bottle at home. The colour is golden amber with a medium light beige head. Pretty carbonated. Aroma with lots of caramel, vanilla bean, oak, brown sugar, rum and tequila. The flavour is much alike but is more sweet with still a lot of caramel, oak and fudge. A touch of cinnamon. Has a slick and sticky mouth feel, and a light bitterness. Sweet and balanced strong English ale with a nice touch of rum.

Clear dark brown with lasting light brown foam head. Aroma is rum dominated with some sweet fruit notes. Taste is quite sweet, some fruits, some caramel, but mostly rum. Short aftertaste. (Farstanäs 201307) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

33 cl, købt i Netto, 6,8 %, 10. juli 2013. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2013-06-27. Crisp golden amber, nice foamy off white head fades. 3++ Aroma starts with a toffee like sweetness, light alcohol, reminds me a bit of Rum Butter Lifesavers actually. Flavour is similarly sweet up front. Drier malt towards the end, toasty sort of biscuity character to it. Smooth average plus bodied palate, light carbonation. Much better than expected! It has cellared for a few months. I might have had it sooner if I knew it was this good! ;) Bottle from the LCBO, Toronto

Ambré. Boisé. Caramel. Toffee. Vanille. Chêne. Rhum. Toute en subtilité. Beau arôme, mais mince.

StueyD (1110) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - JUN 30, 2013
A mid amber orange coloured beer with a weak white head. A distinctly ’Innis & Gunn’ aroma, woody, vanilla, buttery and sweet caramel, plus a hint of alcoholic Rum. Full mouthfeel. A full-bodied sweet taste, all the usual elements of wood, vanilla, and caramel, then a slightly tart alcohol flavour, suggesting the Rum. The finish is a tad dry as the woody flavours come to the fore.
