COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This limited bottling of Innis & Gunn has been finished over oak infused with Caribbean Spiced Rum. The result is absolutely delicious, bursting with the flavours of Caribbean spices along with our signature notes of vanilla, toffee and oak.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Clear amber with a minimal head. Quite a lot of Rum in both the aroma and taste. Also dried fruit, oak and toffee. Better than expected but thin and with a short aftertaste. Not a refreshing beer but it was drinkable.

330ml bottle. Pours a clear, somewhat dull, medium gold, with a white head that disappears quite quickly. The aroma is rather fruity, with quite a lot of spicy rum notes, along with tropical fruits, honey, malt, and of course wood and vanilla, and the usual truckload of diacetyl and butterscotch. I pick up something like burnt candle wax as well. Off-dry, on the lighter side of medium bodied, low bitterness, quite lively CO2. Iím pleasantly surpised that this one is not as cloyingly sweet as other I&G releases, the taste packs a lot of spicy notes from the rum and the wood, vanilla, diacetyl, faintly hoppy, actually thereís even something resembling malt going on here. The finish is a bit acidic, almost artificial, and leaves a feeling that I want to scrape something of my tongue. (2011-11-30)

33 cl, købt i Netto, 6,8 %, 10. juli 2013. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Flaske 0,33l Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget. Drukket pŚ RV124 4 Feb 14. Gyldenbrun. Middels hÝyt luftig skum som varer en stund. Forsiktig aroma av rom. Smaken er uttynnet rom. Hint av pepper. Kunstig helhetsinntrykk.

Ok Iím going to give Innis & Gunn another chance after a few years of boycotting this crappy beer company I decided to give it another chance. Clear amber brew with a creamy white cap floating on top. Sweet bready aroma with hints of spice, and honey. What is that fruit?!?!?!?! I canít nail it down. Oak is starting to show now when warm. Buttery oak flavour with possible raspberry, rum is coming through. Wow this is not good, not good at all. How does this brewery keep making the same crappy oak aged beer. Malts are ok quality but the oak doesnít complement it at all it just turns in to sweet butter drink. I guess there was a spice but at this point I donít care. I think I need to give this place another three year break.

Bottle. Why describe it-- you can see for yourself through the clear bottle. Sigh. Okay, Iím not going to gie this much of my time. It iss overly sweet and rummy, and just not my thing. The rum casks are my least favourite from a brewerry that has only a few decent outputs for me. I suppose it will find its fans, but Iím not counted among them. Just too sweet and rummy.

Scopey (5506) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 8, 2013
Bottle at CGarvie Tasting. It pours clear amber with a quickly dissipating white head. The nose is toffee, spice, honey, earth and candy floss. The taste is earth, honey, icing sugar, rum, faint vanilla, brown bread and alcohol. Light-medium body and low carbonation. No real depth of flavour. Forgettable.

From a bottle. Pours golden orange with short lasting white head. Aroma of caramel, vanilla and light spice, some vegetal hops. Tastes rank, lots of vanilla, oak, toffee, very unbalanced. Sweet and cloying, doesnít finish well. Pretty shocking stuff, not into this at all

Poured great, nice color, lacing and head. However donít judge a book by itís cover. After 2 sips of this monkey piss I poured the rest down the sink. Way to alcohol infused. This is only the second beer I could not finish. I would take a michelob ULTRA over this crap anyday!
