ndia Pale Ale first made its name in the 19th century. Here’s hoping our pioneering IPA can make its mark too.
Its fervent hoppy character hails from the unique addition of large quantities of hops at three separate points during brewing. The result is a beer that’s rounded yet refreshing, with delicate floral notes and oodles of zesty freshness.

Pale gold Smell
Freshly mown grass, clean grapefruit and pine trees
Rich vanilla from the oak, with lots of zestness and a light bitterness from the hops
Full bodies, but still crisp and refreshing.

Six pack purchased in rocky mountain house alberta. Like every other innis and gunn beer, it was a strong buttery, butterscotch, woody vanilla aroma with no hops. They can toot their own horn on the side of their bottle until they are blue in the face about citrus and grapefruit and pine, but it just isnt so. This isnt an ipa, its just another innis woody, buttery, sweet mess of a beer.

Flaska från SB. Ser ut som en lager. Doftar blommor och vanilj. Smakar också parfym med en dålig eftersmak. Om det ska vara en IPA var fan är humlen??? Skräp... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Flaska från Systembolaget delad med @msbrindbergs. Klar guldfärgad vätska med vitt skum. Luktar och smakar som en Innis... alla smakar nästan likadant... Ipa?

From the 11.2 fl. oz. bottle. The pour is an attractive looking golden yellow with a full white head. The aroma has a nice toasted malt, vanilla, and grassy scent but I do not pick up much from the oak barrels. The body is about medium. The taste begins with a vague malt and vanilla flavor but the grassy, zesty hops roar in from behind quickly.

Scent of grass, butterscotch and oak barrels. But no! Another beer from Innis & Gunn who only tastes butterscotch. Why are you like this? I thought this beer would get a little more fruity flavor but it did not occur. Light bitterness that fills the upper part of the mouth to a weak moment. But I do not really understand this beer. Any IPA is it not. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Flaska från systembolaget. Grumligt beige. Vit krona. Luktar grapefrukt och smakar krispigt. Saknar den där karaktäristiska humlekicken en IPA i mitt tycke bör ha.

Bottle. Clear deep golden body with a small white head. Aroma is vanilla, oak, caramel and hints of chewing gum and white sugar. Taste is vanilla, chewing gum, caramel and hints of toffee. Medium body and carbonation. Another standard I & G creation - decent enough, but I don’t know what IPA has got to do with anything though.

Not a bad beer... Certainly interesting. Pours gold with aromas of noble hop, vanilla, bread, and oak. Flavors are bitter oak with some caramel coming through and a hop finish. Pretty good.

Light amber body some lacing. Sweet biscuit aroma, vanilla. Taste is metallic, toasty, slight bitter hops but kind of watery. Not a successful experiment by Innis and Gunn. Needs a lot more hops and a lot more time in the barrel. Nice to see them try new things, though.
